The corpse formally known as Prince

Good day all. Yesterday, several news reports came out of celebrities who had died. One of them was the singer, Prince.

Personally, I’ve never cared for his music, and his antics, such as changing his name to some sort of symbol and then back, (This is when he became known as “The artist Formally known as Prince), just made me roll my eyes.

Prince’s hatred of the Internet rose to the level of near paranoia. He would sue anyone who put up one of his songs. One of the more notorious cases was a mother who filmed her toddler dancing to a prince song. Universal Publishing Group issued a take down notice and threatened her with all the usual garbage the entertainment industry uses on people.

This threat blew up in the face of Universal, which stated it was only acting at the behest of Prince. The mother filed filed a counter claim and a counter suit against the publisher. Long story short, she won and Prince came across as a total jerk.

Yesterday, (April 21, 2016), the news broke that the corpse formally known as Prince was found dead in an elevator. While the cause of his death has yet to be determined, news has come out that a week earlier his private jet made an emergency landing due to a medical emergency. Here are the details on that from TMZ:

Prince was treated for a drug overdose 6 days before his death … multiple sources tell TMZ.

We broke the story … Prince’s private jet made an emergency landing in Moline, Illinois last Friday, hours after he performed in Atlanta. At the time his reps said he was battling the flu … something we questioned because his plane was only 48 minutes from home before the unscheduled landing.

Multiple sources in Moline tell us, Prince was rushed to a hospital and doctors gave him a “save shot” … typically administered to counteract the effects of an opiate.

As of this post, I can not confirm anything that TMZ has reported, so you will need to judge this for yourself. Because of the situation of Prince’s death, I’m fairly sure there will be an autopsy, and they will quickly find out if the Corpse formally known as Prince overdosed again.

While I do have sympathy for his family’s loss, personally, I don’t care about him at all. As I mentioned, his hatred of the Internet and constant attacks against people who may have put up a few seconds of his music showed him as nothing more than an ego-maniacal bully. The problem now is we’ll have to put up with a few weeks of “Oh the world has lost a great artiste!” No, we haven’t. All we’ve “lost” is another mediocre drug abusing twit.
