5 months and the Obamacist state is moving along nicely

It’s the end of May and so far the totalitarian state that President Obama and the Democrats want to create is proceeding rapidly. To date he has seized control of two of the three auto manufacturers, (GM & Chrysler) and has been happily destroying the credit and housing markets.

Friday, this little gem appeared on the Whitehouse.gov blog from Norm Eisen, special counsel to the president for ethics and government reform:

Update on Recovery Act Lobbying Rules: New Limits on Special Interest Influence

There’s the usual boilerplate they put out and then this shows up”

Following OMB’s review, the Administration has decided to make a number of changes to the rules that we think make them even tougher on special interests and more focused on merits-based decision making.

First, we will expand the restriction on oral communications to cover all persons, not just federally registered lobbyists.  For the first time, we will reach contacts not only by registered lobbyists but also by unregistered ones, as well as anyone else exerting influence on the process.  We concluded this was necessary under the unique circumstances of the stimulus program. (Italics mine)

Mr. Eisen was speaking in regards to the Porkulas bailouts and how people really aren’t happy with them. It seems a large number of people have been contacting their representatives and giving them an earful. Also a number of companies and organizations have been hiring lobbyists to yell loudly regarding the bailouts.

Well it seems these people have been heard and Mr. Eisen, the Democrats and “The One” want to put a stop to it. This measure is being portrayed as a limit on professional lobbyists, but if used literally it suppresses the First Amendment right of anyone to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Needless to say, a lot of people have been petitioning the Congress with regards to the massive spending now taking place. People are also very upset with the plans to destroy the healthcare system now in the works, not to mention the massive new taxes and energy rationing planned under the phony “Cap&Trade” system now being rammed through congress.

So, what are we going to do about this threat to our freedom? We suggest that you contact your representative and senators and tell them that this must stop now. If they don’t hear from you, they will proceed with the destruction of the Constitution.

So call, email, snail mail and visit those pinheaded morons in Washington before it’s to late!
