650,000 emails on the wall…

Good day all. it’s been about 72 hours since James Comey detonated his October surprise, and over the weekends, a few details have come out on what was found on the family laptop used by Huma Abedin and Anthony “the Perv” Weiner.

The original rumors were that something like 10,000 messages were found. It now appears that this number was a bit on the low side. Now we’re hearing that they found some 650,000 messages. Although no details on that have been released, whatever the agents found was enough to get Comey to reverse course. Last night a search warrant was issued regarding the data found on the laptop.

Over the weekend, we had the usual suspects, and a few unusual ones commenting on the circumstances of Comey’s letter and what this all means for the election. One of the demands from the Democrats was that Comey should release the messages. This was also supported by a few Republicans. There is no way this will not happen for a number of reasons.

First and foremost, there are multiple criminal investigations into the Clinton’s and the Clinton Foundation. There may be evidence that will be used in court, so the FBI has to maintain the chain of evidence, as well as preserve the right to a fair trial, if it comes to that for the Clintons and any of their cronies.

Next there is the sheer volume of data they have to go through. Doubtlessly, a significant portion will be irrelevant, but the FBI has to go through it to verify that it isn’t important. That’s going to take months all by itself.

Finally there is the very high probability of finding classified information. If they do, Huma is history. As it is, any immunity agreement she had is out the window since she didn’t produce this laptop, and the fact they found over half a million messages after she said she had turned over everything.

double-facepalm

Since Comey sent the letter to Congress regarding reopening the investigation, the Democrats are screaming for his scalp. There might be some issues with the notification letter to Congress. I’ve heard a few people say that he shouldn’t have done it, just proceeded with the investigation. The problem here is he was damned if he did, and damned if he didn’t. What’s amusing is how the Democrats who were singing his praises for covering up for Hillary are now in high dungeon. Heree’s a few details from Fox News:

For Democrats singing his praises just months ago, FBI Director James Comey is no longer the paragon of impartiality.

Impartiality? Please! Every single person who is trained in this sort of investigation has been floored at how Comey did everything he could to sideline the investigation.

The bureau boss is now the target of barbed Democratic attacks for his decision to notify lawmakers Friday that investigators were reviewing newly discovered emails related to the Hillary Clinton server case. And some of the same Democrats who over the summer defended Comey in the face of Republican pressure have emerged as his toughest critics.

This isn’t really a surprise. The hypocrisy of the Democrats knows no bounds. Of course, if Comey thought that reopening the case would help him with Republicans, he can think again. They are still very unhappy with his original whitewash, and the current investigation isn’t going to help his reputation with them.

Topping that list is Harry Reid, the Senate minority leader who fired off a letter over the weekend to Comey informing him his actions may have violated a federal law known as the Hatch Act, “which bars FBI officials from using their official authority to influence an election.”

eye roll

Reid should talk. He is the most corrupt member of the Senate not currently under indictment or on trial. He’s also dead wrong. The Hatch act does not cover investigations. Now there might be an issue with Comey’s notification, but that will be dealt with down the road. As I mentioned, he was screwed no matter what he did.

Reid accused Comey of a “double-standard” in his treatment of sensitive information, saying: “Through your partisan actions, you may have broken the law.”

harry-reid-finger

This from a man who slanders and libels people in speeches on the floor of the senate so he can invoke the immunity clause. I seem to recall his accusations that Romney didn’t pay his taxes. Of course, since he said it from the floor of the Senate, there was nothing legally Romney could do.

But Republicans argue it is Democrats showing a double-standard. Reid, after the bureau announced no criminal charges in the Clinton case back in July, previously called Comey a “fair, impartial director.” Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., told Fox News’ “Special Report with Bret Baier” that whoever wrote the latest Reid statement had to be “under the influence.”

“Senator Reid is a political hack. Jim Comey is a law enforcement officer,” Gowdy said Sunday.

Representative Gowdy is being kind, calling Dingy Harry a political hack. A scheming, lying thug would be a better description of him. Then we have the queen Moonbat of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.

On the House side, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., also applied pressure to Comey on Friday to provide more details, suggesting the format of his brief letter to Congress has stoked false claims.

The public interest would be served by the FBI providing the facts, rather than allowing Republicans to stoke innuendo and falsehoods 11 days away from a presidential election,” she said in a statement.

First, Comey is well aware of what his letter and reopening the investigation is going to do. I have no doubt that he really wanted to stay “Bought” but the evidence that has been found was so overwhelming, that he really had no choice. Second, apparently, there are a stack of resignation letters on Comey’s desk from FBI agents who are flat out disgusted with his actions lat summer. If he had tried to sit on whatever they found, it would have leaked out.

We also have Donald Trump who has been hammering on Comey for months. When the news broke, Trump backed off a bit from his repeated verbal blows to the back of Comey’s head.

Donald Trump for weeks had been pointing to the FBI and Justice Department’s handling of the Clinton case to further his claims that the election is “rigged” against him. But within minutes of the FBI’s announcement that it was reviewing newly discovered emails, Trump backed off his criticism of the bureau.

He told supporters on Friday he has great respect for the FBI and praised the bureau for having the “courage” to “right the horrible mistake that they made.”

Donald Trump

This is not surprising, however, Trump is indicating that if Comey had not tried to protect Felonia von Pantsuit to begin with, he wouldn’t be in the mess he is now. Just to review a bit, last July, when Comey held his press conference, he laid out everything Felonia did wrong. Basically he was laying out the case for her indictment. When he then said that they weren’t going to recommend indictment, he stated that they couldn’t prove intent. It was that statement that told people that the investigation had been rigged. Basically, Comey rewrote the statute.

Department-of-Injustice

Since then, more and more information has come out on just how badly run this investigation was. There was active interference by Comey, the ridiculous grants of immunity, the interview of Felonia without being put under oath, and the order to destroy a couple of laptops that were under subpoena by Congress. Well, on the last bit, it looks like the agents ordered to destroy the laptops not only didn’t, they have informed Congress that the devices are available for review.

shocked-face

Yesterday, (Sunday), I was watching Fox, chortling over the news when I saw a couple of Democrat operatives discussing what was going on. One of them was Doug Schoen. He announced that in the last few days, he could no longer support Hillary Clinton. He went on to say that if Hillary was elected, with the information we now have, that there would be an immediate constitutional crises. He’s correct.

The odds are that a president Hillary Clinton would be facing impeachment no later than January 21st, 2017. Considering how vicious and evil she is, I could see her doing something to along the lines of arresting anyone who stood against her. It would be amusing though, to watch the Democrats tie themselves into knots defending her.

Currently, it looks like the polls are shifting towards Trump. There has always been some question on just how accurate these polls are, with some of them being heavily favored towards Hillary Clinton. We will find out what polls were correct in a week. No matter what happens, Hillary Rodham Clinton is finished, even if she wins election. She will not complete her term in office. If she loses, she will probably be indicted and convicted. A nice long prison term, sufficient in length that she dies behind bars would be a fitting end to the Clinton legacy.
