Good day all. California is about to declare itself in open rebellion against the United States Government. They are about to make it the law that they will protect criminals illegally in the United States.
Well, once again, the Sanctuary City of San Francisco has managed to get another American killed. Here’s what happened from AP:
Federal immigration authorities said Friday that they were tracking a young immigrant when San Francisco police allege he shot and killed a popular community activist last month.
Erick Garcia-Pineda, 18, was detained in December and released from custody in April pending deportation, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials said. An immigration judge required him to wear an ankle monitor and routinely check in with ICE.
Which I’m sure he did of course.
Garcia-Pineda failed to show up for his August appointment, ICE spokesman James Schwab said.
And I’m sure they noticed when he cut the ankle bracelet off? Yeah, right. No, they didn’t, otherwise they might have stopped this criminal before he murdered someone. Another question that comes to mind, is where did he get the gun? Somehow, considering this is California, he waltzed into the local gun shop and picked one out.
San Francisco police say Garcia-Pineda used a gun stolen from an officer’s car to kill Abel Ezquivel, 23, on Aug. 15.
Wonderful! Yet another gun belonging to law enforcement used by a criminal. Don’t these morons learn any basic firearms safety? The first thing you do is SECURE YOUR GUN! Well, at least they caught him and held him until ICE came to cart him away.
He was arrested on misdemeanor battery charges Sept. 3 before investigators say they connected him to the slaying. ICE says the sheriff’s department ignored a request to block his release from jail that day. San Francisco’s “sanctuary city” policy bars the sheriff from cooperating with immigration officials unless they are seeking suspects convicted or charged with violent crimes.

Great, just great! Now I’m angry. The city government and the sheriff are now, as far as I’m concerned, guilty of aiding and abetting a felon in the commission of a crime. In fact, there are actual statutes regarding this very issue. For instance, we have this section of the Code:
The penalty for felony harboring is a fine and imprisonment for up to five years. The penalty for felony alien smuggling is a fine and up to ten years’ imprisonment. Where the crime causes serious bodily injury or places the life of any person in jeopardy, the penalty is a fine and up to twenty years’ imprisonment. If the criminal smuggling or harboring results in the death of any person, the penalty can include life imprisonment. Convictions for aiding, abetting, or conspiracy to commit alien smuggling or harboring, carry the same penalties.
Courts can impose consecutive prison sentences for each alien smuggled or harbored. A court may order a convicted smuggler to pay restitution if the alien smuggled qualifies as a victim under the Victim and Witness Protection Act. Conspiracy to commit crimes of sheltering, harboring, or employing illegal aliens is a separate federal offense punishable by a fine of up to $10,000 or five years’ imprisonment.
My suggestion is simple. It’s time for the Department of Justice to stop pussyfooting around. Impanel a Federal Grand Jury and indict the ENTIRE city government and the sheriff and put them on trial. Make it known to the state legislature and Governor Moonbeam that they too will face arrest and trial if they put this “Sanctuary State” nonsense into law and someone else gets killed by an illegal alien.
California wants to leave the union. Actually, about 30% of the people, clustered in the bluest moonbat sections of the state want to breakaway. I say let them. As for the 70% that don’t? Let them come back and form several new states. As for the newly formed “People’s Democratic Republic of Kalifonistan?” Cut off all their water and power and see how long they last.

Any and every official that had any connection to this guy being someplace other than in a deportation holding cell deserves to be tried as accessory to homicide. I wish the Justice Department would start meting out some justice.
