Good day everyone, this is the Angry Systems Administrator. We had a 2 hour outage today, now resolved. Surprising absolutely no one, a Plug-in was involved.
I contacted our hosting service and they were able to trace it back to a plugin that decided to go wonky. The plugin, tweetily, apparently isn’t compatible with the version of PHP we’re running. The hosting company tech renamed the plugin and now it’s loading.
I don’t recall what the plugin was for other then it was something to do with Twitter. I’ve since removed it as no longer functional or supported. It does seem odd that it suddenly broke, however, I suspect it’s been acting up for some time, and wasn’t taking the site down, just making things act odd.
