Gab.com and the censorship of the Internet

Good day all. Recently, I discovered a competitor of Twitter called Gab.ia. Recently, they secured the domain Gab.com. They are, or were a Twitter competitor without the suppression of ideas that Twitter and the other big name social media companies engage in.

This caused a few problems for Gab.com. To begin with, all the raving loons who had been kicked off platforms such as twitter and Facebook showed up on Gab. Since Gab refused to censor people, these raving morons spewed forth their bile.

A while back I started using Gab and posting updates to it. I did this because I’ve been watching Twitter take down anyone who offends the socialist totalitarians running Twitter. I ran across some of the real racists and anti-Semites on Gab and instead of whining and demanding they be banned, I simply blocked them and moved on.

Recently, there was a horrific attack on a synagogue in Pittsburgh. 11 people were murdered by a Nazi scumbag who, for some reason, wasn’t cut down by the police. It turned out that this loser also was posting his garbage on Gab. Gab, once they found out, promptly began working with the FBI to give them any information they needed. (With the proper legal documents)

However, since Gab refuses to ban scumbags like this murdering POS, their hosting company and their registrar, (The company that they have their domain names through), took it upon themselves to shut down Gab. Gab is now in the process of finding and moving to a new hosting service and moving to a new registrar. (I believe they use GoDaddy which has a history of taking down sites they don’t approve of)

The CEO of Gab put this message up while they work to transition to a new hosting company.

Gab has spent the past 48 hours proudly working with the DOJ and FBI to bring justice to an alleged terrorist. Because of the data we provided, they now have plenty of evidence for their case. In the midst of this Gab has been no-platformed by essential internet infrastructure providers at every level. We are the most censored, smeared, and no-platformed startup in history, which means we are a threat to the media and to the Silicon Valley Oligarchy.

Gab isn’t going anywhere.

It doesn’t matter what you write. It doesn’t matter what the sophist talking heads say on TV. It doesn’t matter what verified nobodies say on Twitter. We have plenty of options, resources, and support. We will exercise every possible avenue to keep Gab online and defend free speech and individual liberty for all people.

You have all just made Gab a nationally recognized brand as the home of free speech online at a time when Silicon Valley is stifling political speech they disagree with to interfere in a US election.

The internet is not reality. TV is not reality. 80% of normal everyday people agree with Gab and support free expression and liberty. The online outrage mob and mainstream media spin machine are the minority opinion. People are waking up, so please keep pointing the finger at a social network instead of pointing the finger at the alleged shooter who holds sole responsibility for his actions.

No-platform us all you want. Ban us all you want. Smear us all you want.

You can’t stop an idea.

Gab isn’t perfect by a long shot. However, they understand that Freedom of Speech must also include speech that some people find offensive. This is the problem with the Progressive Left. They simply can’t handle any ideas or speech that doesn’t mesh with their world view. They do not believe in the free flow of information, and when it comes to loud mouthed bigots, rather then ignore them or demonstrate that they are idiots, they simply shut them down.

As we have seen, the Progressives aren’t satisfied with shutting down the raving loons, they also will shut down all speech they deem “Wrongthink.” Companies such as Facebook, Twitter and Google have been caught repeatedly blocking anyone even slightly to their right.

Recently, Twitter blocked @TheDiplomad for what they decided was hate speech. I don’t recall what it was he said, but it was factual. For those who may not know who TheDiplomad is, he is a recently retired foreign service worker with the United States Department of State. He’s also a conservative. For a while, he was anonymous and also driving the State Department lefties nuts. He “Outed” himself once he was safely retired and they couldn’t do anything to him. To call him a racist, bigot or anything else the Left likes to throw around is nothing less than libel and slander.

I don’t know if Gab.com will make a comeback or if the Progressive left has succeeded in shutting them down. I do know that this is going to backfire on the Progressives. People have had it with “Right think” and political correctness. They are tired with being threatened with the loss of their livelihood if they don’t toe the Progressive totalitarian line. President Trump was the response to the Silicon Valley totalitarians and they are now doubling down with their suppression.

They call anyone who doesn’t agree with them Nazis, yet they don’t realize that they are doing everything the Nazis did in their rise to power. Those who fail to learn from History are doomed to repeat it. I learned and that is why I don’t have a problem with idiots speaking out and showing the world that they are, idiots.
