More annoying plugins

Good afternoon Angry people. I thought I would bring you up to date one what the heck is going on with the plugins we use on the Anger Central Blog.

Basically, the Blithering Idiot Angry Webmaster installed a live blogging plugin while reporting on the tragic shooting in Arizona yesterday. Unfortunately, it didn’t work quite the way he intended. He was able to do some live blogging, but you may have noticed that the banner ads kept coming up with each new entry.

This wasn’t what he had in what passes for his mind of course. He wanted a nice clean stream of updates to the original post. When he saw what was happening, his answer was to shut off all the plugins and then turn on what he thought he needed.

Yeah, he broke stuff.

So, I’ve re-enabled the plugins we use and I’m going to start digging into this live blogging tool. I’m also going to look at some new ad managers I’ve loaded but not activated. You may see sudden changes in the blog that just as suddenly disappear. No need to panic. It’s just me, trying to make this a better site on the back end. (I can’t do much about the front end I’m afraid. Bonehead The Angry Webmaster is in charge of that)

I expect it will take some time to get things fully configured and I may look at replacing the live blogging tool that the Tool in Charge, The Angry Webmaster installed. ((With no testing or evaluation as usual))
