Some good personal news

Greetings all, I have a bit of good news to report of a personal nature. As you should know, a few weeks ago I stepped out of character on the main site and reported that my father was in the hospital.

Well, he should be home this weekend. In fact he would be home now except for all the damn paperwork, bit to mention the 2 feet of Globull Warming we’re in the process of getting.

To refresh your memories, My father is 85 years old. He still works in a home office I set up for him. Well, he had a couple of falls and didn’t tell anyone. Early this month he was in extreme pain. It turns out he fractured a vertebra. He was taken to the hospital and a few days later had a procedure where they basically glued the bone back together. He was out of the hospital a couple of days later and has been in a rehab center since then.

He has been going through physical therapy and has been regaining his strength. (He also refers to his therapist as “Diabolical” in his treatments)

He still has a bit of recovery ahead, and both he and my mother are thinking it’s about time to sell the house and move into an assisted living community. My sister is in the process of researching one not far from her and my brother’s home. ((Unfortunately, it’s quite a ways from mine))

We’ve moved his office downstairs, and the family is making other preparations for his return home. This is just a great think and a nice topper to Obamacare being declared unconstitutional.
