Good day all. We have a rabbit problem at the Anger Central Primary Dwelling. There are a bunch of the furry little Bugs Bunny wannabes tunneling on the property.

The little pests have tunneled under the Garage, and it looks like they might have undermined it. I didn’t notice the tunnel until recently. I’ve seen a bunch of these annoying pests on the front lawn, as well as in the back of the house. They do not fear humans.
I have walked out and moved towards them and they just sit there and stare at me, daring me to do something about them. I would so much like to do something to them, something very fatal. Normally this would involve a Ruger 10/22 rifle with a scope on it, however, due to the location of the Anger Central Primary Dwelling, this is not an option.
I finally had enough and ordered a trap from Amazon. It won’t kill the “Little darlings” though. It’s a Havahart trap and is designed to trap animals like these damn rabbits alive. If/when I start trapping them, I’m going to take them to the river and drown them a park or other open area and release them. Hopefully, there will be a nice flock of very hungry hawks or even a couple of eagles around, and they will decide that fresh rabbit would make the perfect dinner.
This is the problem with living in a city. There are no natural predators around, and I can’t use my preferred method of dealing with them. In the town I grew up in, we had lots of birds of prey around and a few coyotes. We did not have much of a rabbit or groundhog problem once they coyotes arrived. Sadly, they aren’t going to come into a city. As for the Birds of Prey, the location of the Anger Central Primary Dwelling is such that a hawk or eagle swooping in won’t work. There is a good chance they would get hurt.

She Who Must Be Obeyed has seen the rabbits, and I suspect she thought about cooking them. I don’t think these rabbits would be good eating, and she really isn’t interested in killing, gutting, skinning and carving them up. (She’s rather picky about what she eats) If I start catching them, I’ll look into keeping a running tally.
