Good day all. Since Russia invaded the Ukraine two months ago, many things have happened. The Russians have been shown to be not all that competent, and the Ukrainians have been eating the Russian’s lunch.
One of the worst losses for the Russians was the flagship of their Black Sea fleet, the Moskva. It was hit by a pair of Ukrainian anti-ship missiles, and it seems that through incompetent damage control, sank. Now the Ukrainians have decided to rub a few kilograms of salt into the Russian’s open wound. They have declared the wreck a National Heritage Site. Here are the details from Forbes:
Ukraine has designated the underwater wreckage of the Russian Moskva warship a Ukrainian cultural heritage site, according to its ministry of defense, a week after the heavily armed flagship was sunk by two Ukrainian Neptune anti-ship missiles in the Black Sea, after which Ukraine’s defense minister jokingly called it “one more diving spot.”

There has also been some controversy of the actual sinking. The Russians continue to deny the Ukrainians sank the ship. There has also been a new, competing claim as to the cause of the loss.
