Good day all. One of the most incompetent mayors in America, (And there are so many contenders), is Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass. She is so inept and incompetent that when fires broke out, the firefighters discovered that there was no water in the mains. More recently, she has been screaming about Immigration and Customs Enforcement rounding up all her constituents and deporting them. She has been making threats and generally acting like the barking moonbat she is.
Now it looks like that Bass, who, apparently, has never had that tight a grip on reality, may have just suffered a full on psychotic break. Here are the details from the Western Journal:
Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass shredded whatever little credibility she had left by frivolously insisting there’s no crime in her crime-infested city.
Bass had some credibility left? Where? Did she find some loose credibility under the cushions in her office sofa?
The Democrat made the absurd declaration at a news conference Tuesday while responding to accusations that she and Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom are committing “crimes against humanity” by enabling unfettered illegal immigration.
I have not heard that one, accusing those two morons of crimes against humanity. Now crimes against Americans, that I can see.
The farcical comedy unfolded after a reporter asked Bass the following question.
“Mayor Bass, on the topic of immigration, the president’s deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller, accused both Gov. Gavin Newsom and yourself of ‘crimes against humanity’ for your immigration policies, going as far as to say, ‘They’re guilty of crimes against humanity for their facilitating of child trafficking, [sex] trafficking,’” the reporter said.
Ahh, I see where that Crimes against Humanity bit came from. Stephen Miller does tend to go a bit over the top, but when it comes to trafficking children, the Democrats have been rather silent for the most part. Probably hitting a bit to close to home I suspect.
When asked to respond, Bass told the brazen lie that “there is nothing — anything — in this city that has happened that comes even close to a crime, period. Let alone a crime against humanity.”
Essentially, Bass claimed she and Newsom are doing nothing wrong by harboring illegal aliens and obstructing the Trump administration’s efforts to stop foreign invaders from flooding California.
The Democrats see the illegal aliens as resources, both as slave cheap labor and as future Democrat voters who can be manipulated with free stuff to put the Democrats into power and keep them there. Because of this, they don’t think it’s illegal to protect illegals, no matter what they do. Obviously, they are wrong.
Title 8, United States Code 1324 — which has been federal law since 1952 — prohibits the harboring or concealing of illegal immigrants. The penalty for violating this law is five to 10 years in jail.
But wait, as the old infomercials used to say, There’s more!
The death penalty could also be imposed if an innocent person is killed by an illegal alien who was roaming the streets because someone (like a dopey left-wing mayor or governor) enabled it.
“Moreover, if the violation results in the death of any person, the defendant may be punished by death or by imprisonment for any term of years,” the statute states.
There is no question that illegals have been killing people. We just had another one in Florida. An illegal with a Kalifornistan commercial drivers license, who couldn’t even read the signs, pulled an illegal U-turn and killed three people. So what did this turd do? Bolted for Kalifornistan thinking that it’s status as a Sanctuary state would protect him. Spoilers!! It didn’t.
For reference, Karen Bass overplayed her hand while reacting to Stephen Miller’s statements from last week. In a Fox News interview, Miller said Bass and Newsom are facilitating large-scale human smuggling and sex trafficking rings with their lax immigration policies.
“The mayor of Los Angeles and the governor of California run the largest sanctuary city and the largest sanctuary state in America,” Miller said.
“They refuse to turn over tens of thousands of serial criminal illegal aliens to ICE, so they get arrested by state or local authorities, and they get cut loose. They then go on to commit crimes like assault, armed robbery, home invasion, and murder,” he continued.
Stephen Miller continued twisting the knife, basically accusing Bass and Newsom of essentially aiding and abetting the illegals in committing their crimes.
“They are guilty of crimes against humanity. They are facilitating child trafficking, sex trafficking. Look, they think this is a game. They think this is a joke. This is life and death,” he underscored.
I disagree. I don’t believe those two idiots think it’s a game or a joke. I don’t think they actually care. Karen Bass and Gavin Hair Gel Newsom are narcissists. It’s all about themselves and they think that protecting the criminals and illegals is the best way for them to secure more wealth and power.
The Democrat Party, since the inauguration of President Trump, has jumped the shark. Last year, people were concerned that it was the Right that might decided, if things had gone a different way, that the time had come to take the gloves off. The assassination attempt of President Trump last year, if he hadn’t turned his head, could have been the triggering event for truly bad things.
Instead, President Trump took office and promptly moved to do everything he promised. This has set off the Left and they are the ones who are ramping up the threats and actual violence. Where the Right was looking for ways to avoid that, the Left appears to be actively looking to start a Second American Civil War.
One of the side effects of all this Leftard stupidity is that the Democrat Party is starting to collapse and implode. Instead of sitting back and taking stock of why voters are abandoning them, they are continuing to double down on stupid. They are collectively going insane. I think that the 2026 midterms may be a national political wake up call. It isn’t beyond the realm of possibility that the Democrat Party may collapse completely and end up as nothing more than a local or regional political party.
