Riots in London, could they happen here?

Greetings all, I hope you’re enjoying the riots in Eurostan. ((Europe after the Muslims take over)) I’m certainly not. What you’re seeing over there is the end result of the Progressive Welfare state.

England has been on this road far longer than the United States and the Progressives have basically destroyed any sense of self respect and personal responsibility in the useless mouths lower classes. Now that the World economy is in the process of collapsing due to the Ruling Elites Over educated Morons politicians buying votes building an unsustainable welfare systems, the politicians have been forced to start making cuts. This isn’t sitting well with the drones and they have started doing what drones always do. Rioting.

The British governments over the decades have emasculated the police and made it a crime for people to defend themselves against “Hooligans.” There are a number of people who have been imprisoned for daring to fight back and not allow themselves to be killed. The police will not arrest real criminals since they might have to actually crack them in the head. The results of all this? London and other British cities burned.

Belatedly the British government has awakened to the threats and has started cracking down and using their Orwellian 1984 surveillance public camera system and facial recognition software to start rounding up these thugs. In one case, a mother spotted her own daughter bashing a police car and turned her in. It looks like the people have had enough and will not tolerate this any longer. The order has gone out to the police to start using tear gas, water cannon and rubber bullets. Personally, I think they should use live ammo, but that’s just me…

Now, could this happen in the United States?

Sure it could. It has happened in the past. However, if it does occur at this time, the rioters might be in for a big shock. One of the major differences between the United States and Eurostan, is privately owned firearms. If the American useless class starts pulling this stuff, the regular people will start defending themselves, This has also happened in the past. ((Korean Armed resistance during LA Riots))

If large scale riots start in the America, people won’t be simply shooting at the feet of rioters and looters, trying to drive them off. This time, they will shoot to kill. Consider that most gun owners tend to be responsible and also practice, they will make short work of the untrained drones running around trying to loot, pillage and burn things.

For instance, a discussion I’ve been following on Baen’s Bar asked what would happen if urban rioters headed out into the countryside to do more looting and pillaging. The answer was not at all surprising.

Belesari was being a little bit over the top, but he isn’t that far off. The producers in this country have reached the breaking point and most are armed. If the welfare class starts rioting, there will be a sharp decrease in their population. The survivors will be stripped of their benefits and told to work or starve. Those with children who won’t change, the children will be taken from them and put with families that will bring them up correctly. For those to “children” old to change, well, that’s what prisons are for. (All hope isn’t lost for that group. A large number DO change and become useful, productive members of society and more power to them!)

What I just wrote about would mean a complete breakdown of American Society. It would rebuild, but there would be some really major changes. In all probability you will see some form of Jacksonian ((Jacksonian Democracy)) government come back into vogue. It would mean the virtual end of the welfare state and pushing of responsibility back towards the individual. The progressive elitists in the educational system would more than likely be forced out of their tenured positions, (and into the real world), and possibly out of the United States.

At the moment, there are large numbers of people trying to change things from within the system. They want to “decompress” the system and wean the drones off their free money. Unfortunately, they Establishment Political Class absolutely refuses to see what’s happening and will not do anything that might actually put their privileges at risk. You know, like actually doing WHAT THEY WERE ELECTED TO DO!

So, in answer to the overall question, yes the style of rioting we see in Eurostan can and probably will happen here. However it will also end a lot faster and a hell of a lot bloodier. Personally, I don’t see any way to stop it considering the incompetents running things in the cities and nationally.
