The joys of domestic bliss. SWMBO and chores

Good day all. I think it’s time for something completely different. Sunday, I had planned a nice day of writing, ranting and raving towards the Deep State, Unions and anything else that came to mind. Unfortunately, She Who Must Be Obeyed, (SWMBO), had different ideas.

Since I found out that the Angry Groundskeeper was not lawfully in the United States, and turned him in to ICE, I’ve been taking care of the grounds of the Anger Central Primary Dwelling. Since I am anything but a lawn Nazi, I tend to let things slide. One of the things that needed to be handled is an area in the back yard that has some brush growing. If left unchecked, they will become trees.

I’ve been meaning to “Do something” about them for a while. SWMBO decided that she would handle it. However, she said she needed electric scissors to cut them down. This confused me, (English is not SWMBO’s first language), and I thought she was talking about a small electric chain saw. We decided to go to Lowes and see what they had and let her hold things. This is when she spotted what she was talking about.

It was electric pruning shears. Once the penny dropped, we looked at what Lowes was offering and I also checked Amazon on my phone. We found exactly what she wanted and the price was better than Lowes so I ordered a pair of SEESII Electric Pruning Shears, 1.4″ Cutting Cordless Power Pruner. They were delivered the other day and we tried them out that night.

Sunday, SWMBO was off and decided to handle all the small branches and limbs on the property that were offending her. Did that mean she was going to do all the work?

As I was digging into my news items I wanted to comment on SWMBO called up and told me to come out and help her. We had a lot of branches that needed to be cut and between the two of us, we cleared out all the brush. I will say that these pruning shears really did the job. It included two batteries, but we only used one. The shears would easily cut through half inch branches and I think they would have gone through even thicker ones, but SWMBO didn’t want to risk it.

Still, my plans for writing went right out the window. I was tired when we finished up and had lost my train of thought. I have one item I’m working on that I won’t finish today, (Sunday) and will have to take care of at a later date. Still, and any as man will tell you, there is no denying She Who Must Be Obeyed. You do so at your own peril.
