The history of English

Good day all, it’s the Angry Systems Administrator. I’ve been rather busy and haven’t posted much of late, but I saw this little Youtube video and thought I should put it up as a public service. 😉

The video is titled “The History of English in 10 minutes” and it is both humorous and educational. It shows the roots of English as a Celtic/Germanic language and how it borrowed from virtually every other language on Earth to become what it is today.

I hope you enjoyed my lesson in the History of English. Obviously there is a lot more to it than you can learn in 10 minutes. The last I heard, the English language had over 600,000 words. (I can seem Mrs. Webmaster’s head exploding now. “600,000? To many! I go back to China!)
