And the Republican VP should be?

Good day all, Now that the Republican primaries are winding up, and it looks like Mittens Obomney (hack…Patooie!) will be the *groan* nominee, people are starting to look at who would be the best pick for Vice president. There have been a number of names mentioned, most of whom I could support.

However, for various reasons, most of the people mentioned can’t or won’t accept the nomination. Some of the people mentioned are:

Marco Rubio, Senator from Florida. Senator Rubio is definitely an up and coming Republican. He has a lot going for him but he is in his first term as Senator. He should complete that term first. It will also allow him to get a bit more seasoning in the cesspool that is Washington.

Another person mentioned is Governor Nikki Haley, Governor of South Carolina. She is also well liked by most people, but just took office this year. She really should stay as governor for this term and possibly one more. As a successful governor, she will be a great asset, either as a presidential candidate or VP. She is young and has plenty of time to build her her record.

Another possibility is Representative Paul Ryan. He is currently the only person to try and fix the economic problems we face. His plans aren’t perfect, but he has come up with one. He is also another up and coming member. He also has the problem of little actual executive experience. Granted this isn’t needed for VP.

Others who have been mentioned include:

  • Former Governor Jeb Bush.
  • Governor Chris Christie, New Jersey
  • Governor Susana Martínez, New Mexico

All of the above would make good VP picks, but frankly, they are needed right where they are. Also, with the exceptions of Governors Christie and Nikki Haley, most of them really don’t bring any oomph to the campaign.

Recently, another name has popped up and this is one I really like. That would be Representative Allen West. He has executive experience as a combat commander in the Army, is well spoken, honest and like Christie, isn’t afraid to speak his mind. Also, who can go against someone who says this:

Now a lot of the pinhead pundit class are saying that if West were the nominee, it would be a repeat of Sarah Palin. God I hope so! Governor Palin is the ONLY reason McStupid McCain didn’t lose by 20 points and almost pulled it out against the ScoaMF.

Yep, I could go for Allen West as VP, but only since he isn’t running for President. Besides, If a Romney/West ticket wins, Romney could slip in the shower and West would then be president. Ok, this was the same reasoning that people were voting for the McStupid McCain/PALIN! ticket. However, we don’t have a PALIN/WEST! ticket this year. (Damn IT!)

So, what’s your opinion? Representative Allen West for Vice President?

That is all

I read that Sarah Palin suggested that Congressman Allen West be the Vice Presidential nominee. Congressman West would definitely be a “rogue” choice as she put it. Governor Romney in order to win would need a (perceived) strong …
