Who knew that the Impossible Mission Force ((IMF)) actually exists and is run by the Democratic National Committee? If you are a fan of the old television show or the movies, you will be familiar with the final line in the mission orders the team receives. “As always, should you or any of your IM Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions.
In this case, the Democrats have disavowed the winner of the Tennessee Democratic Primary. Here are the details from the Tennessean:
Tennessee Democratic Party disavows Senate nominee
The party of Cordell Hull, Estes Kefauver and Al Gore Sr. and Jr. won’t have a standard-bearer — or at least not one it can stomach — in Tennessee’s next U.S. Senate race.
Less than 24 hours after a man espousing conservative and libertarian views surprised the state’s political scene by winning the Democratic nomination, the Tennessee Democratic Party disavowed him, saying he’s part of an anti-gay hate group.
Part of an anti-gay hate group? What group would that be? Chick-fil-A? The Catholic church? The Baptists? No, it’s an organization called Public Advocate of the United States. So who are these evil hate mongering racists? Well, here’s what their About page has to say:
Since its founding in 1981, Public Advocate has grown into a dedicated group of young conservatives in Washington, D.C., with a network of volunteers and supporters nationwide. Our continuous growth over the years is due to the fact that we have never wavered from our firm conviction that political decisions should begin and end with the best interests of American families and communities in mind.
OH MY GAIA! The Horror! They support conservative values! They must be destroyed by the Progressive Armies of the DNC ASAP!! (I was being extremely sarcastic there people)
The party said Friday that it would do nothing to help Mark Clayton, 35, who received nearly twice as many votes as his closest challenger in Thursday’s seven-candidate primary, winning the right to challenge Republican U.S. Sen. Bob Corker in November.
Could it be that Mr. Clayton actually represented the views of the people voting in the Democratic Primary far more closely than the other candidates? Not according to the Democrat Party.
“The only time that Clayton has voted in a Democratic primary was when he was voting for himself,” the party said in a news release. “Many Democrats in Tennessee knew nothing about any of the candidates in the race, so they voted for the person at the top of the ticket. Unfortunately, none of the other Democratic candidates were able to run the race needed to gain statewide visibility or support.
Ah yes, the typical Progressive Liberal excuse when their ideas/preferred candidates go down in a crushing defeat. The voters were to stupid to know who the “Politically Correct” candidate was.
“Mark Clayton is associated with a known hate group in Washington, D.C., and the Tennessee Democratic Party disavows his candidacy, will not do anything to promote or support him in any way, and urges Democrats to write-in a candidate of their choice in November.”
WAAAAAAHHH! Our candidate didn’t win because you stupid people voted for someone who is an evil, racist bigoted conservative!! Mr. Clayton had this response to the Democrat Party Elite.
Clayton defended his work for Public Advocate of the United States, the pro-life, pro-marriage group in question, and said he was disappointed with the Tennessee Democratic Party’s “zero-sum politics.”
“It’s not necessarily surprising, unfortunately,” he said in a phone interview. “But that’s not the way I deal with my political opponents. I have good friends who are liberals.”
OH MY GIAI! HE USED A RACIST CODE PHRASE! He said “I have good friends who are liberals! HE IS AN EVIL, HATEFUL BIGOT WHO MUST BE DESTROYED!
Clayton acknowledged his social conservative instincts but said he’d been deeply disappointed by the presidency of George W. Bush, the last Republican to occupy the White House.
Join the club pal. However, Bush isn’t the president. He hasn’t been president since January 20th 2009, 12:01pm Eastern Standard Time. The current screw up in the Oval Office is one Barack Hussein Obama, better known to all as the SCoaMF, Der Fubar, the dog eater in chief. This election is about Der Fubar and how the party you were just disavowed from has utterly screwed up the world. Now, I wonder what the Republicans are thinking?
Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Chris Devaney gloated on Twitter about the opposition party’s failure to find a suitable candidate.
“Nice vetting job by the Dems,” Devaney wrote.
And for once, a number of Progressives agree with the Republicans, but with far less joy and happiness.
“What a debacle in Tennessee,” the liberal Daily Kos website wrote Friday morning, hours before the party announced its decision. “It’s not like Democrats were ever going to have a shot at unseating freshman Sen. Bob Corker, but at least our preferred candidate, actress and activist Park Overall ((Who the hell is Park Overall?)), is a real Democrat. The guy Dems did nominate seems to be anything but.”
I didn’t know until I started working on this post that one of the other candidates was Park Overall. I remembered her. She was a second rate actress last century I think. If I remembered her, then I don’t doubt that a large number of people voting in the Democratic Primary knew who she was too. I guess that puts paid to the Democrat Elites comments that the voters were to stupid to know who they were voting for.
As usual, the Democrats, in the spirit of Democracy, are going all out to destroy the candidate the voters selected to represent them in the general election.
Sean Braisted, a Democratic Party spokesman, left the door open for a possible legal maneuver to try to get Clayton’s name off the Democratic line of the November ballot.
“The only option we are taking off the table in this situation,” he said, “is supporting Mark Clayton.”
So much for “The Party of the common man.” Of course, Clayton has no chance of winning in Tennessee. The voters seem to like Bob Corker. Without knowing all his position, and assuming he is an actual conservative rather than a RINO, he might have actually been supported by the Tea Party in a primary fight with Lamar Alexander when his term is up. A lot of people are not happy with him.
Oh well, I’m going to sit back, pop a beer and have some popcorn while the latest disaster unfolds for the Democrats.
Thatisall

On conditions of anonymity, a spokesperson for the Tennessee Democratic Party told me, “WTF, people? Who let that constitutionalist bigot even register as a Democrat? Who let him file to run for office on the Democrat ticket? My Gaia, EVERYONE knows that if you aren’t a closet communist, homosexual advocate, anti-American anti-Christian, you don’t belong in the Democrat party! Someone really screwed the pooch on this (NTTAWWT). The Party of Chicago Values will make sure this bitter clinger in sheep’s clothing will have an accident long before the election.”
