Good day all. With all the other news going on, people have forgotten that Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina, one of the better Republican Senators, is resigning his seat and taking a position with the Heritage Foundation.
This means that his seat is opening up and needs to be filled and Governor Nikki Haley has selected Representative Tim Scott to fill out Senator DeMint’s term of office. I don’t know anything about Representative Scott, but he was the preferred choice of Senator DeMint. Governor Haley apparently agrees and has announced that Tim Scott will be the next Senator from South Carolina.
Rep. Scott had this to say on his selection.
Reiterating a cornerstone conservative position in relation to the ongoing fiscal talks in Washington, he said: “If you have a problem with spending, there’s not enough revenue to make up for it.” ((Fox News: South Carolina governor names Rep. Scott to succeed DeMint in Senate))
Representative Scott is apparently as fiscally conservative as Jim DeMint, which is what we need these days in that cesspool known as Washington DC. As you might expect, the Progressive Liberal Democrats were not happy about the choice and promptly started calling soon to be Senator Scott every name in the book as will as hurling one racial epithet after the other on him.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Representative Scott happens to be of recent African Decent. Of course, the only people who think a persons skin color is important are the racists on the left. As we all know, it really busts their very tiny external reproductive organs when a man or woman who happens to have a skin color designed to reflect high levels of solar radiation, (That would be black to those of you in Progressive, Liberal Elitist circles), escape from the Progressive Liberal Democrat plantation. The reactions on Twitter, according to Twitchy.com, were typical for “Those kind of people.” They were saying things that even a member of the KKK would be ashamed of ((Gov. Haley picks Rep. Tim Scott to replace DeMint; Vile cries of ‘token,’ ‘Uncle Ruckus’ begin)).
It seems that Rep. Scott pretty much believes in what I believe in, and both Governor Haley and Senator DeMint approve of him. That’s good enough for me. Another Scott Brown he probably isn’t going to be. Good Luck soon to be Senator Scott!
