Now Liberals want gun insurance

In their never ending goal to bring slavery back to the United States, the Progressive Liberal Democrats have come up with another idiotic idea. Mandatory insurance if you want to own a gun. Failure to have such insurance would mean a $10,000 dollar fine.

So what Liberal moron came up with this silly idea? That would be New York Representative Carolyn Maloney. Here are some of the details from Fox News:

A New York Democratic lawmaker is behind a national push that would force gun owners to buy liability insurance or face a $10,000 fine.

The Firearm Risk Protection Act, pushed by Rep. Carolyn Maloney and seven co-sponsors, follows efforts at the state level to create the controversial new kind of insurance for gun owners.

“For too long, gun victims and society at large have borne the brunt of the costs of gun violence,” Maloney said in a written statement. “My bill would change that by shifting some of that cost back onto those who own the weapons.”

Typical moonbat that she is, she blames the object and the people who don’t commit crimes for the actions of criminals who, by the way, won’t be buying any insurance. The good news is that this dumb idea is going to be dead on arrival. It won’t even make it to the floor IF it even gets out of committee.

The likelihood, though, of Maloney’s bill gaining any traction is slim. Republicans control the House, and even states where Democrats have sizeable majorities have not approved the insurance idea.

Six states — California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania — have all introduced gun liability insurance legislation over the past few months. None has produced any results.

Of course it hasn’t. People like Maloney fail to understand that the problem isn’t the gun owners, it’s criminals and the irresponsible idiots out there. We have plenty of laws on the books now to deal with those types. Perhaps they should be enforced for a change? All the states that tried to impose this ended up pulling it back or seeing it go down to defeat. Here’s what happened in a few states.

In Illinois, the House rejected a measure 34-74 that would require people carrying concealed weapons to also carry $1 million in liability insurance. Chicago Democrat Kenneth Dunkin was behind the defeated bill. He said an insurance policy would cost between $500 to $2,000, but Illinois Republicans successfully argued the costs were too high for citizens exercising their constitutional right to carry a gun, and the bill was defeated.

This is the main problem for the Progressive Liberal Idiots. They run into serious constitutional issues when they try and force someone to pay to enjoy their rights. It’s not dissimilar to a poll tax (Poll Taxes)).

Last week, a similar measure in Connecticut was withdrawn following a two-hour hearing on the issue. Connecticut’s proposal would require firearm owners to maintain excess personal liability insurance and self-defense insurance.

In Maryland, a bill that sought mandatory firearm liability insurance for gun owners was also recently withdrawn.

These are states where contempt for the constitutional rights of gun owners is enormous. If they couldn’t get it through, it isn’t going to go anywhere on the federal level. Not that this is going to stop Comrade Maloney in her quest to aid and abet criminals and enemies of the United States.

Still, Maloney maintains she won’t back down from the fight.

“We have a long history of requiring insurance for high-risk products — and no one disputes that guns are dangerous,” she said in her written statement. “While many individual states are debating this issue right now, it makes more sense for Congress to establish a national requirement to allow the insurance markets to begin to price the risks involved consistently nationwide.”

Once again, this totalitarian bitch isn’t listening. People are tired of scum like her taking away our rights. At one time Senator Patrick Moynihan, (Also a moonbat from New York) proposed to massively increase taxes on ammunition ((Monyihan asks for big tax on ammunition)). He was looking at taxes on the order of 10,000 percent per box. It would have pushed a 50 round box, (Then going for about $24), to over $1500. Monyihan was all in favor of using taxation to destroy the rights of the people. In fact, that is the normal way Progressive Liberal Democrats like to do things. They’ve been doing it for years with tobacco and look how well that worked. Smuggling cigarettes is more profitable then smuggling cocaine.

These attempts to destroy the constitution are going to continue until the Progressive Liberal Democrats feel real pain, like the pain you feel when you have a noose around your neck and you’re hauled up on a lamp post. The level of anger in America towards the government is growing at an exponential rate. In Texas, someone has killed two district attorneys along with one of their wives. They think it’s the White Supremacists, but this is rather unusual for them. (Or any criminal organization) Killing cops and DA’s brings down Hell on Earth for whoever they think did it. This is why I don’t think it was them, but someone or someones who feel they were not given a fair shake in the court system and decided they had nothing else to lose.

Those chowder heads in Congress and the state legislatures that are pushing all this crap need to rethink their positions before the entire nation goes up in flames. The last thing we need is a second civil war. The last one was bad enough. If we have another, it will kill millions.
