Second Amendment survives, Obama whines

Good day all. As you know if you have been reading this site and listening to the news, the Progressive Liberal Democrats have been working overtime to suppress the Second Amendment. First you had Senator Diane Feinstein’s plan to basically declare anything made since the 1820’s declared illegal.

When that was killed by Dingy Harry Reid, the next attempt was a bill that would “Enhance” background checks and close the non-existent gun show loophole. (Dealers at Gun shows are bound by current laws just like dealers in a store. They have to call in and run a check) This bill was put together by two Senators, Joe Manchin ((Joseph “Joe” Manchin III)), (D- West Virginia), and Pat Toomey ((Patrick Joseph “Pat” Toomey)), (R-Pennsylvania), who had claimed when running for election that they supported the Second Amendment.

These two got together behind closed doors and ginned up a bill that was pretty bad. It did nothing that would have prevented the Sandy Hook shooting, and would have led to registration and eventual confiscation. Manchin and Toomey denied this of course, but many people read it and figured out just how bad it was. The text is available here.

The bill went down to defeat when Dingy Harry couldn’t get a filibuster proof majority. Also, it was probably going to be destroyed in the House. Well, after the crushing defeat, Obama and the other totalitarians of the Progressive Liberal Elite went on a gang whining jag.

First King Putt. He’s been out there trying to ram through all sorts of laws to cancel the Second Amendment. He was very happy when New York and Colorado, both under the domination of Democrats, passed their unconstitutional laws. (They are already being challenged in court) He was happily “Humping dead children” (curtsey of Emperor Misha) for weeks, thinking he was going to win this one and begin his dream of a soviet America. He was very unhappy when his plans went up in smoke. From Politico:

Never before had President Barack Obama put the moral force and political muscle of his presidency behind an issue quite this big — and lost quite this badly.

The president, shaken to the core by the massacre of 26 innocents at Sandy Hook Elementary School, broke his own informal “Obama Rule” — of never leaning into an issue without a clear path to victory — first by pushing for a massive gun control package no one expected to pass, and then sticking through it even as he retrenched to a relatively modest bipartisan bill mandating national background checks on gun purchases.

Obama is a megalomaniac ((Megalomania)). He is beyond narcissism ((narcissism)). He has just had reality smash him in the face and he doesn’t like it. He went totally off the deep end. From the Washington Times:

President Obama angrily blamed the defeat Wednesday of his centerpiece gun-control proposal on lies spread by the National Rifle Association, calling it “a pretty shameful day for Washington.”

“The gun lobby and its allies willfully lied about the bill,” Mr. Obama said in the White House rose garden about 90 minutes after the vote. “It came down to politics.”

Call the WAAAAAAAMBULANCE!!!

Then we had His Imperious Shortness. Michael Bloomberg. He has spent millions of his own money to end the Second Amendment and begin gun confiscation. He was a might unhappy with all the money flushed down the drain. From CBS New York:

Senate Republicans, backed by some Democrats, blocked legislation Wednesday to tighten restrictions on the sale of firearms, prompting Mayor Michael Bloomberg to rip lawmakers for failing to pass the bipartisan effort that focused on the expansion of background checks.

“Today’s vote is a damning indictment of the stranglehold that special interests have on Washington,” Bloomberg said. “More than 40 U.S. senators would rather turn their backs on the 90 percent of Americans who support comprehensive background checks than buck the increasingly extremist wing of the gun lobby.”

That 90% statistic is garbage of course. The Progressive Liberal Democrats never actually provided the raw data for people to review. Bloomberg has such a hatred for guns in the hands of the people, that he refused to allow the National Guard in after Hurricane Sandy because “They carried guns!” ((Bloomberg Denied National Guard Assistance In Brooklyn Because Of Their Possession Of Guns)) Let me bring out the worlds smallest violinist to serenade you shorty. Oh, yeah, he might actually be taller then you.

Then we have Diane Feinstein. This evil cow was steaming mad that she wasn’t able to issue the orders to us peons and serfs to “Term ‘em all in!” From the National Review:

As the Senate debated the merits of an assault-weapons ban, an emotional Dianne Feinstein urged her colleagues to “show some guts” and vote in favor of the measure.

“I am really chagrined and concerned. If anybody cares, vote at least to prospectively ban the manufacture, the sale, the importation of military-style assault weapons,” she said in remarks on the Senate floor.

Feinstein is the senior senator from America’s only Third World state. She lives in her little bubble, waited on hand and foot and would tell people to “Let them eat cake” if Michelle Obama hadn’t already hijacked the phrase.

Then we have “Slow Joe” Biden.  He was crying when the news came out about his Lord and Master’s crushing defeat. This senile fool, who’s advice regarding self defense weapons and techniques leave a lot to be desired and will get you arrested. From Reuters:

The vice president has not one but two shotguns that he says he keeps in a locked cabinet at his house in his home state of Delaware, and he has given his wife, Jill, explicit instructions on how to deal with any would-be intruder.

“We live in an area that’s wooded and secluded,” Biden said. “I said, Jill, if there’s ever a problem just walk out on the balcony here … put that double-barreled shotgun and fire two blasts outside the house.”

“I promise you whoever’s coming in is not gonna,” Biden said. “You don’t need an AR-15 (assault rifle). It’s harder to aim. It’s harder to use and in fact you don’t need 30 rounds to protect yourself.”

“Buy a shotgun,” he said, lowering his voice almost to whisper.

If Biden’s wife actually followed that advice, he would be a second time widower. Hmm, maybe that’s what he has in mind. Cheaper than a divorce I guess. Then we have Andrew Cuomo, who has already started to illegally confiscate guns from people. From Politicker:

Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who rose to some national prominence for his tough gun control measures passed earlier this year, also weighed in:

“The Senate’s failure to pass a bipartisan measure that is supported by the vast majority of American people is a sad statement on the power of extremists to stand in the way of reason and common sense. Background checks for firearm sales is a reasonable measure that would help keep guns out of the hands of criminals and help keep Americans safe from gun violence. In the wake of the seemingly unending cycle of tragedy involving gun violence, the Senate’s inability to pass even a watered down, minimal gun safety bill is simply unacceptable.”

Cuomo is probably going to get his head handed to him electorally and judicially. His shiny new law is so badly written that the police officers wouldn’t have been able to carry standard magazines. A gun owner was forced to hand over his guns due to this law, (Since ordered returned), and is in the process of suing the state. Cuomo thinks he’s going to run for President in 2016. He’s going to be luck to hold on to the governors office, people are so enraged over that unconstitutional law.

Then we have Dingy Harry Reid. From Real Clear Politics:

Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nevada) mocked Second Amendment rights activists while announcing his support for a ban on assault weapons and limits to high-capacity magazine clips on the Senate floor today.

REID: In the 1920s, organized crime was committing murders with machine guns. So Congress dramatically limited the sale and transfer of machine guns. As a result, machine guns all but disappeared from the streets. We can and should take the same common-sense approach to safeguard Americans from modern weapons of war.

That is why I will vote for Senator Dianne Feinstein’s assault weapons ban – because we must strike a better balance between the right to defend ourselves and the right of every child in America to grow up safe from gun violence. I will vote for the ban because maintaining law and order is more important than satisfying conspiracy theorists who believe in black helicopters and false flags. And I will vote for the ban because saving the lives of young police officers and innocent civilians is more important than preventing imagined tyranny.

Spoken like a true tyrant. Disarm the people so the jackbooted thugs can round them up and send them to “Resettlement camps ((Nazi concentration camps)).”

And finally, the Editorial Propaganda pages of the Obama Steno Pool are in full throated roar. From CNSNEWS:

In reaction to the defeat of gun control in the U.S. Senate yesterday, editorial pages across the nation are seething with anger, lashing out at rural America, gun manufacturers and the NRA.

Both the L.A. Times and Chicago Tribune called the defeat “shameful” – echoing Pres. Obama who yesterday called the defeat “A shameful day for Washington.”

The one thing all these moonbats have missed is the sales reports for guns and ammunition since 2008. They have skyrocketed. The people are voting with their wallets. Frankly, from people I’ve talked with and heard from, if Obama and the Progressive Liberal Democrats had rammed through their bans, the odds of an outright shooting war inside the United States would have reached certainty. As it is now, it’s 50/50 if we can avoid it.

Stupidity such as this, along with all the other power Grabs by Obama, The Progressive Liberal Democrats and their fellow RINO Statists are one of the many reasons people are buying guns in such large numbers. They see the Federal, and some of the state governments as a direct threat to their personal liberty and freedom, and they are preparing for any eventuality.
