Good day all. With my ranting about Sears on Memorial Day, I neglected to do my duty and post something about our nation and those who fought for it. In this case, I found a video of a United States Marine, who sang the forgotten verse to the National Anthem ((The Star Spangled Banner)).
A forgotten verse you say? Yes, it’s true. There is a verse that isn’t sung when the Anthem is played. Now, rather than jaw about it, I’ll let “Lewis” sing the verse for you.

Simply remarkable. For those of you who want the lyrics, I also located them.
The Star-Spangled Banner: verse two ((The Free Republic))
O thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war’s desolation!
Blest with vict’ry and peace, may the heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation!
Then conquer we must,
When our cause it is just,
And this be our motto, “In God is our trust.”
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
Remarkable. I never knew about this and am saddened by the fact. Hopefully, I’ve done my small part to spread this to others.
