I guess that means he only want to tax “Some” business out of business. I wonder which ones those might be? Probably those that don’t support Obama and his fascist regime.
Yes, Der Fubar actually said that. I suspect his teleprompter was offline again. The SCoaMF made this statement during a fundraiser, (Where else?) in Palo Alto. Here are some of the details from CNSNEWS.COM:
President Barack Obama says Democrats “don’t want to tax all businesses out of business.”
“I know that there are a few Republicans here in the audience,” Obama said Friday at a fundraiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign in Palo Alto, Ca. “If you talk to us, it turns out we’re pretty common-sense folks.
I hope you weren’t drinking anything when you read that. If so, I refuse all liability for a new keyboard and monitor.
“We don’t think government can do everything,” he said. “We don’t think that top-down solutions are the right way to go. We believe in the free market. We believe in a light touch when it comes to regulations.”
How about that? Four lies in one paragraph. I wonder if this is a record for Il Douche? He does believe the government can do everything, he does believe in top down, one size fits all solutions, he despises the free market and as to regulations? BWHAHAHAHAHA! There is very little Obama hasn’t tried to regulate.
Obama has made similar statements in the past. When speaking about implementing a cap and trade system when running for president in 2008, Obama said he would bankrupt coal power plants.
Which he has, through the EPA, pretty much done. It’s impossible to build a coal fired plant and coal mines are being forced to shut down. Never mind trying to open new ones. We also have businesses being attacked by the IRS and other agencies of they don’t toe the Progressive Liberal line. Just ask Gibson Guitar.
Just to refresh your memories, a couple of years ago, Gibson Guitar was raided for using the exact same wood as a competitor. The difference? Gibson donates to conservative causes and the competitor donates to Obama. A few details from Investors business Daily:
The inexplicable raid nearly two years ago on a guitar maker for using allegedly illegal wood that its competitors also used was another targeting by this administration of its political enemies.
And people thought the Nixon enemies list was bad.
On Aug. 24, 2011, federal agents executed four search warrants on Gibson Guitar Corp. facilities in Nashville and Memphis, Tenn., and seized several pallets of wood, electronic files and guitars. One of the top makers of acoustic and electric guitars, including the iconic Les Paul introduced in 1952, Gibson was accused of using wood illegally obtained in violation of the century-old Lacey Act, which outlaws trafficking in flora and fauna the harvesting of which had broken foreign laws.
Interestingly, one of Gibson’s leading competitors is C.F. Martin & Co. According to C.F. Martin’s catalog, several of their guitars contain “East Indian Rosewood,” which is the exact same wood in at least 10 of Gibson’s guitars. So why were they not also raided and their inventory of foreign wood seized?
Hmmm, I wonder. Could it be political retribution?
Grossly underreported at the time was the fact that Gibson’s chief executive, Henry Juszkiewicz, contributed to Republican politicians. Recent donations have included $2,000 to Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and $1,500 to Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn.
By contrast, Chris Martin IV, the Martin & Co. CEO, is a long-time Democratic supporter, with $35,400 in contributions to Democratic candidates and the Democratic National Committee over the past couple of election cycles
And I would say yes, it was. In this case, the Obama regime didn’t want to just tax Gibson out of business, it wanted to destroy them and if possible, throw the owners in jail.
Juszkiewicz’ claim that his company was “inappropriately targeted” is eerily similar to the claims by Tea Party, conservative, pro-life and religious groups that they were targeted by the IRS for special scrutiny because they sought to exercise their First Amendment rights to band together in vocal opposition to the administration’s policies and the out-of-control growth of government and its power.
All these incidents show that Obama does want to tax certain businesses out of existence. He also wants to regulate the away as well. When neither one works, he sends in his thugs on trumped up charges. We’re now seeing the results of all this with one scandal after another coming out. The only question is, what are we going to do about this?
