God, I hate upgrades

Good evening, this is the Angry Systems Administrator. I just did an upgrade to the blog software about an hour ago. You might have noticed a few odd things happening, (Or would have if we had any real traffic on this site). There were two major upgrades.

The first was the actual WordPress software that runs the blog. As you might expect, these escapees from the Windows 8 GUI design team got their hands on WordPress and made some pretty significant changes to the back end. Then I upgraded the theme we use. Right off the bat, the headers disappeared. I suspect it tied in with the backend changes to the WordPress system.

I tried to correct it and wasn’t able to. However, I had a previous version of the theme and activated that instead. From the users point of view, there is no real difference between the older theme and the new one…other then the old one actually works. In any case, both the Angry Webmaster and I have a steep learning curve ahead of us, learning about the changes those hyperactive code monkeys on speed did to both the theme and WordPress. The important thing is that you, the user, shouldn’t see any differences from your point of view.

Now back to trying to get that damn captcha on the Add page to work.
