Then Fail, Fail, Fail some more, and then lie through your teeth. The Obama 404care fiasco continues and after more then a month of “repairs” isn’t crashing as much as when they first rolled it out in October. However, other issues are now rearing their ugly heads.
To begin with, there is absolutely no security on this site, and your personal information is just hanging out there, waiting to be stolen. There are already problems with personal information ending up where it doesn’t belong, but the Obama Regime doesn’t want to hear about it.
Now it’s coming out that all those applications that were sent in? Yeah, they didn’t make it to the insurance companies. Here are more details on this ongoing disaster from Fox News:
Insurance companies and health officials analyzing insurance applications submitted through HealthCare.gov are reportedly still grappling with significant online enrollment errors despite the Obama administration’s push in November to improve the glitch-ridden website.
Gee, what a surprise! NOT!!
Thousands of applicants from the federally-run ObamaCare website have received inaccurate assignments to Medicaid or to the private marketplace, or have received incorrect denials, The Wall Street Journal reported late Friday, citing unidentified officials.
That’s because this whole thing was put together by three squirrels and a chipmonk. They should have brought in the monkeys. They, at least, could have typed up the entire works of Shakespeare.
In one case, an Illinois health official said that legal immigrants who aren’t yet eligible for Medicaid were nevertheless told they would be enrolled in the program. The state requires five years of residence to join assistance programs for low-income people.
Now, we have a few massive problems with medicaid. One big one is doctors and hospitals are outright refusing to handle Medicaid patients. Why? Simple really. The system pays doctors pennies on the dollar and they can’t afford to take these patients. For all intents and purposes, it’s government mandated charity work for medical professionals.
Another problem with medicaid is that it’s broke. There simply isn’t any more money available for it. The Obama Tyranny, with the help of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi, pretty much raped the Medicare system of it’s funding. Medicare was in better shape then Medicaid, but now it too is teetering on the brink of collapse.
One more big issue is that Obama 404care has been forcing people onto Medicaid whether they wanted to use it or not. A number of people who can afford to buy regular insurance, now confiscated by the Democrats, are willing to buy the crap Obama and Sebelius are ramming down our throats, but they aren’t even give a chance. The way the “system,” and I use that term very advisedly, is set up, when people try to get a price quote, they are told they are now on Medicaid. Once on it, they are not able to get out of it.
For those people who have signed up and think they are now covered, there is another problem and it’s a massive one. The information they loaded into various Russian hackers databases Obamacare may not have even gotten to the insurance companies. According to The Washington Post’s Wonkblog:
Enrollment records for close to 15,000 HealthCare.gov shoppers were not initially transmitted to the insurance plans they selected, according to a preliminary federal estimate released Saturday. While these cases pose a challenge for the Obama administration, officials say they believe the situation is improving. Since early December, fewer than 1 percent of HealthCare.gov enrollments did not make their way to health insurance plans.
Now, don’t forget that the Washington Dumb as a Post is fully in the tank for Obama and will print whatever propaganda stories they are told to. However, this nightmare is so bad, that even the Obama Propaganda Team, formally called the Obama Steno Pool, and originally called the Main Stream Media, can’t cover it up.
The preliminary estimate that fewer than 15,000 enrollments failed to reach carriers comes from a recently completed federal analysis that compared the number of shoppers who clicked “enroll” with the number of digital files HealthCare.gov fired off to health-insurance plans.
That analysis does not generate a list of specific shoppers whose enrollment files were never sent, but rather provides a ballpark estimate of the discrepancy between enrollments finished and reports generated. The federal government does not have a list of people whose sign-up forms were never sent to their insurer.
That would be all the people who went on the site, went through the whole painful process, got a quote and went into shock at what the costs were really going to be. They simply left their choices in the shopping cart and left the site.
Still, the figure is one of the more concrete measures of the data errors that have plagued the back-end of HealthCare.gov and challenged the Web site’s ability to notify health-insurance providers when a new member enrolls in their products. Those digital files are known in the insurance industry as “834 transmissions,” and they have become the focus of much attention since insurers noticed some arriving with flaws or in duplicate.
Here’s the thing. If you go to the insurance company web site, you can get a quote in a matter of minutes with only the most basic of information. They can’t compute what the so called subsidy will be, that has to come from the Obamacare web site, and it’s been generally providing wrong information for people. (In other words, lying. Just like Obama)
Of particular concern to health insurers were situations in which a shopper thought he or she had signed up but the exchange did not notify the carrier. While insurance plans could plausibly correct inaccurate data, they could not get coverage to a subscriber they did not know existed.
There are going to be an awful lot of people who think they are covered but aren’t.
The missing enrollment files are one of three problems with the 834 transmissions that the federal government has identified. The other two are enrollment transmissions being sent in duplicate and those that are sent with inaccurate, or missing, data.
The federal government has repeatedly urged shoppers to reach out to their health insurance plan to confirm their enrollment and to pay their first month’s premium, which is required before the insurer begins to pay doctors’ bills.
This is another little detail that the SCoaMF and his band of blithering idiots haven’t reported. Just how many people have been either desperate enough, or stupid enough to actually pay for this crap. Congress can’t get the information, and they have been trying for some time. The insurance companies can easily provide it, but they have been repeatedly threatened by Obama and Sebelius that if they do, they will punish the companies. (Usually with being forced out of the program, or criminal prosecution of the corporate officers, or so I’ve heard)
The CEO’s of these companies are trying to get around these issues, but most of them have lost all credibility. When they saw Obamacare coming and that it would force people to give them money, they went nuts with greed. Now, they are seeing what a disaster this whole thing is and they are trying to find any lifeboats that Bill Clinton didn’t take and get off the sinking ship.
With actual sign ups, meaning that payment was received, far, far below what they thought they would be, many companies are now thinking that Obamacare could actually bankrupt them. They are complaining to Obama in private about this. Obama’s response has been to continue shafting the insurance industry by changing the rules and ignoring the law so he can look good. These stupid CEO’s are still not understanding that the goal of Obamacare is to institute socialized medicine in the United States, and in fact, to destroy that very same industry that for the last several years has been tongue bathing Obama.
Frankly, the shareholders should get together and remove these morons for utter incompetence. If Obamacare isn’t shut down, I fully expect the entire insurance industry, and not just the health insurance industry, to collapse. If that happens, it will make the housing bust and the collapse that caused in 2008 look like a minor blip on the economic radar.
Personally, I think the CEO’s are beginning to see the writing on the wall, and while they may be making public statements of support, privately they are probably contacting their pet congresscritters and telling them that this thing needs to be put down as soon as possible. If this is happening in the background, I suspect the Democrats are just ignoring them. It’s going to be interesting to see where the insurance campaign donations go this year for the midterm elections. Considering the probable bloodbath in November for the Democrats, I can see them looking to the Party of Stupid Republicans. Of course, the Republicans are having their own issues between the Tea Party and Conservative groups and the RINO Establishment Republicans.
There is a Chinese curse that we are now experiencing. “May you live in interesting times. This is NOT something I really wanted to do.
