Conn. paper calls for arrest of gun owners

Good day all. I saw this story a few days ago. It seems that a Connecticut newspaper has decided that it wants all the gun owners who refused to comply with the gun registration law that was rammed through after Sandy Hook to be arrested and imprisoned.

The Hartford Current wrote this editorial on February 14^th in response to the massive refusal of gun owners to comply with this clearly unconstitutional law. What they aren’t considering is the sheer number of people they want jailed. The estimates are that at least 85% of the gun owners refused to comply and register. That’s at least 100,000 people. Here is the Current’s editorial:

Connecticut has a gun problem.

No, Connecticut has a Progressive Liberal Moonbat problem.

It’s estimated that perhaps scores of thousands of Connecticut residents failed to register their military-style assault weapons with state police by Dec. 31.

Two issues here. First, it is impossible to register something that does not exist. There is no such thing as a “Military style assault weapon.” Second, all those people were utterly opposed to this, testified that  that they were opposed to it, explained that it was not constitutional, that it won’t work and that they were tired of being punished for the actions of a criminal.

That’s the deadline imposed by a tough bipartisan gun-safety law passed by the legislature last year in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre.

Again, an error. This was rammed through by a bunch of totalitarian thugs in total violation of the Constitution simply so a bunch of Progressive Liberal Pansies could feel good.

Widespread noncompliance with this major element of a law that was seen as a speedy and hopefully effective response by Connecticut to mass shootings such as the one at Sandy Hook creates a headache for the state.

Speedy, yes. This was an express train that would not be stopped, com hell or high water. Effective? HAH! If you want to see just how effective gun control laws are, look at places like New York City, Chicago or any other part of this country where the only people with guns are vermin who prey on citizens made defenseless by you morons.

The dimensions of the unregistered guns problem were outlined in a Tuesday column by The Courant’s Dan Haar.

The article by Dan Haar illustrates the problem for the Progressive Liberal Elites. He goes into detail on just how badly this law has failed. Here is the “Money quote” in his story.

“I honestly thought from my own standpoint that the vast majority would register,” said Sen. Tony Guglielmo, R-Stafford, the ranking GOP senator on the legislature’s public safety committee. “If you pass laws that people have no respect for and they don’t follow them, then you have a real problem.”

No kidding? Really? What made you think that you blithering dead donkey dick sucking RINO idiot? The fact that the overwhelming majority of gun owners are refusing to follow your demands? Getting back to the Editorial:

Guns defined in state law as assault weapons can no longer be bought or sold in Connecticut. Such guns already held can be legally possessed if registered. But owning an unregistered assault weapon is a Class D felony. Felonies cannot go unenforced.

Uh huh. And how, pray tell, are you going to enforce this fiasco?

First, however, the registration period should be reopened. It should be accompanied by a public information campaign.

Oh I see, it’s the old “If at first you don’t succeed, then fail, fail, fail some more!” plan. Yep, the old Progressive Liberal Elite’s favorite idea. Re-enforce outright failure.

But the bottom line is that the state must try to enforce the law. Authorities should use the background check database as a way to find assault weapon purchasers who might not have registered those guns in compliance with the new law.

A Class D felony calls for a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine. Even much lesser penalties or probation would mar a heretofore clean record and could adversely affect, say, the ability to have a pistol permit. If you want to disobey the law, you should be prepared to face the consequences.

You idiots really want to start an outright shooting war don’t you? Have you even considered the numbers involved? The people you so casually call felons outnumber the police in Connecticut by at least 100 to 1. The moment you start that kind of roundup, all those evil gun owners will band together and put a stop to it. In case you hadn’t noticed, those “Evil Gun Owners” outnumber the police about 100 to 1. You might not have heard of the Little Big Horn, but you can bet the cannon fodder police officer you send out have.

The people in this country have spoken with regards to Gun control. They have spoken with their ballots and with their wallets. Gun and ammunition sales are only now slowing down, but the moment you start trying to round up gun owners who are ignoring your unconstitutional law, they will explode upwards again. In states like Colorado, safe Progressive Liberal Democrat political hacks were voted out of office in recall elections. A third was facing defeat and quit so the Progressive Liberal Democrats could protect her seat and their illegal laws. Law enforcement officers around the nation are refusing to enforce these laws. They see them as what they are. An attempt to disarm the people and prevent them from having the means to remove a tyrannical government.

It’s not just refusal to obey your ill thought out laws, now people are beginning to tell police that they have had enough and that they will fight if they have to if LEO’s attempt to round up the guns and their owners. Recently, a blog post came out from the Sipsey Street Irregulars. It’s an An Open Letter to the Men and Women of the New York State Police. The Deadline Approaches. What do you intend to do?

This is in regards to New York’s phoney SAFE Act. It can easily be translated to Connecticut and in their comments section, people are asking that it also be sent to all law enforcement officials in that state as well.

This is the can of worms that the Progressive Liberal Elite has opened. People now see the police as a threat to them, not as protectors. It isn’t to late to screw the lid back down on those worms, but it will take the Progressive Liberal Elite admitting they were wrong. That is something they are unable to do. My advice? Suck it up and admit you were wrong and repeal these statist totalitarian laws.
