A sequel to “An Inconvenient Truth” in the works?

Oh please, PLEASE let it be so! It’s been years since Al Gore put out that humorous piece of Propaganda that was debunked before it even finished it’s run in theaters.

If you remember, An Inconvenient Truth was the film version of the standard Al Gore’s speech and slide show screaming at everyone that unless we basically stopped living, the Earth would turn into Venus. Al Gore used this slide show and later film to basically enrich himself by selling “Carbon Credits.” These were used to make Moonbats feel good about saving the planet. The carbon credit market has since collapsed due to people disbelieving the Truth according to Al Gore. The reason for this disbelief? Every time Gore opened his mouth, the temperatures dropped significantly and we got two feet of snow ((the gore effect)).

Al-Gore Fire Breathing Dragon

Now that “Global Warming” has pretty much been debunked as “Settled Science,” The Moonbats and followers of the Church Global Warming have changed names. Now it’s “Climate Change.” Any weather event can be laid at the feet of Man Caused Climate Change these days and usually is. These pinheads have even tried blaming Climate Change for things like earthquakes and tsunami’s.

Of course, the vast majority of people call Climate Change by another name. They refer to it as “The Weather” which is always changing. Since people don’t believe Al Gore and his nuts any longer, the gravy train is coming to a grinding halt. Australia recently killed their carbon credit system and Germany is figuring out that all those “Renewable Green Energy” systems don’t work and costs huge amounts of money.

So, now that people aren’t afraid that the Earth is going to burn up and have left the Church of Man Caused Global Warming Climate Change and are taking their money with them, what are the true believers to do? How about a sequel? According to the Hollywood Reporter:

Al Gore might need to dust off his projector. The creative forces behind the Oscar-winning environmental documentary An Inconvenient Truth are hatching plans for a sequel to the film that raised global awareness of climate change. “We have had conversations,” producer Lawrence Bender tells THR. “We’ve met; we’ve discussed. If we are going to make a movie, we want it to have an impact.”

Oh I’m sure it will. Somehow, I don’t think it will be the impact you may be thinking of.

The first film certainly did. Released in 2006 by Paramount and Jeff Skoll‘s Participant Media, the Davis Guggenheim-directed doc grossed nearly $50 million worldwide and helped propel Gore, its narrator, to a 2007 Nobel Peace Prize. But Bender believes that during the ensuing years, the fossil-fuel industry has changed the dialogue with a misinformation campaign. “They did a really good job of pushing back and confusing people,” he says. “Some people actually believe global warming doesn’t exist.”

Some people don’t believe Global Warming exists for a simple reason. It doesn’t. More and more information has come out since the “Al Gore Personal Enrichment Project” came out in 2007 showing that in many cases, outright scientific fraud occurred ((ClimateGate: The Fix is In)). Well, since the Serf’s are starting to rebel against their highly educated betters, (This would be the Progressive Liberal Elitist like Al Gore), then it’s time to scare them back into submission and get those checks rolling in again.

Environmental activist Laurie David also believes a sequel should be on the agenda. “God, do we need one,” she says. “Everything in that movie has come to pass. At the time we did the movie, there was Hurricane Katrina; now we have extreme weather events every other week. The update has to be incredible and shocking.”

And as factually challenged as the original I assume?

Despite the desire, a sequel is far from a sure thing, and producer Scott Z. Burns says he “would only support doing a follow-up if we have a really, really amazing way of attacking the issue and reinvigorating it.”

In other words, “We’re looking at the numbers and we’re not sure we can actually, you know, make any money on this.”

But Inconvenient Truth and the issues it raised were on Bender’s mind as he accepted an award during a Beverly Hills fundraiser March 21 that collected $700,000 for UCLA’s Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. At the gala, hosted by Jeanne and Anthony Pritzker, the producer called for renewed activism on climate change and cited the film’s impact. “At the time, we hoped to provoke a global conversation about climate change,” Bender told the audience, which included Courteney Cox, Anjelica Huston, Johnny McDaid, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “Our new inconvenient truth is that not nearly enough concrete action has been taken.”

Barking Moonbat

You mean concrete action such as Solyndra and the myriad other “Green Energy” garbage that has been going on around the world? The entire goal of the Global Warming crowd has been to enrich themselves and institute a single party state both in Europe and especially the United States. The true goal of all this is destroying the middle class and impoverishing the most productive sectors of the economy. The people pushing Global Warming and Climate Change are some of the worst Crony Capitalists ((Crony capitalism)) around. They can’t compete in a free enterprise system since their “Product” is utter crap. They have been looting the treasury for years, and now people have had enough.

Nothing frightens the Progressive Liberal Elitist trust fund babies like the thought they might actually have to work for their money. That idea is almost as repugnant as the “Great Unwashed” actually thinking that their opinions matter. Since they can’t conceive that their precious religion is being rejected, their answer is make another movie. All I can see is, Good! We need more comedies and I am certain that the Nobel Prize Committee has spare $100K to give to The Goracle for yet another propaganda piece. It won’t help since everyone is figuring out that Al Gore and his Tranzi ((Transnational progressivism)) pals are just another bunch of phoneys. As the late George Carlin once remarked:

There is nothing wrong with the planet. Nothing wrong with the planet. The planet is fine. The PEOPLE are fucked! (( George Carlin, “The Planet Is Fine”))
