Now you have Obamacare, how about a doctor?

Greetings all. Last week, Obama decided to spike the ball and claim that Obamacare was a resounding success. He claimed they had 7.1 million people sign up. Interestingly, they weren’t able to provide the number of sign-ups prior to that announcement.

Since the victory lap around the Rose Garden, a few details are coming to light, a big one being that this number, much like everything else Der Fubar says, was a blatant lie. No surprises there and others are dealing with that. No, I’m going to talk about all those people who now have signed up for Obamacare, paid the extortionate level premiums and actually been officially notified that they are covered. All these people danced the happy dance that now they had health insurance.

Now there is another problem.

That would be finding a doctor who will be their primary care physician. It seems that most of the doctors in the country are refusing anyone who is using Obamacare Insurance. I’ve gone into how people who lost their insurance and had to get Obamacrap insurance found out that they would no longer be able to use their original doctors or hospitals. What about those who apparently signed up for insurance for the first time? Well, it seems these people are having a little trouble finding a doctor. Here is the story from Ebony by one Danielle Kimberly:

I’m sorry, we are no longer accepting that kind of insurance. I apologize for the confusion; Dr. [insert name] is only willing to see existing patients at this time.”

As a proud new beneficiary of the Affordable Health Care Act, I’d like to report that I am doctorless. Ninety-six. Ninety-six is the number of soul crushing rejections that greeted me as I attempted to find one. It’s the number of physicians whose secretaries feigned empathy while rehearsing the “I’m so sorry” line before curtly hanging up. You see, when the rush of the formerly uninsured came knocking, doctors in my New Jersey town began closing their doors and promptly telling insurance companies that they had no room for new patients.

My shiny, never used Horizon health card is as effective as a dollar bill during the Great Depression. In fact, an expert tells CNN, “I think of (Obamacare) as giving everyone an ATM card in a town where there are no ATM machines.” According to a study 33% of doctors are NOT accepting Medicaid. Here in Jersey, one has a dismal 40 percent chance of finding a doctor who accepts Medicaid – the lowest in the country.

Actually Ms. Kimberly, the dollar bill was actually far more effective then your Obamacare health card. The dollar would actually pay for a doctor.

the government has provided monetary incentives for doctors to accept new Medicaid patients—a 30% increase in most states (and a 50% increase in New Jersey.)

30% of nothing is still nothing. The same goes for 50% Comrade Kimberly

Despite the government’s valiant attempts to give the nations the unemployed and underemployed adequate health care, many doctors are still unwilling to take on Medicaid patients.

Because they aren’t interested in going bankrupt and starving to death dimbulb.

The arguments as to why physicians are not jumping at the chance vary, but the undeniable truth is that too many of us are insured in name only.

Surprise! So, how’s that Obamaphone, and the free car, free gas and Obama paying your mortgage/rent working out for you?

According to Whitehouse.gov, “21 percent of African Americans were uninsured in 2009, and more about 20 percent of African Americans did not have a regular doctor, compared with less than 16 percent of White Americans.” Statistics prove that in some Black communities preventive doctors’ visits are scarce because health insurance is not an option. Prior to ACA, African Americans were 55 percent more likely to be uninsured than White ones.

There are white lies, damn lies, Statistics and then there is the crap generated by Obama. They aren’t very trustworthy. Now I’m not going into the stats, but I wonder how many people, irregardless of skin color, just didn’t get insurance because they are healthy and didn’t see the need? Probably most of them would be my guess.

However, physicians say they are rejecting Medicaid patients with good reason. One doctor explains, “the state reimburses… only about $23.50 for a basic office visit [of those insured by Medicaid], less than half of what [I get] from Medicare or private insurers.” The argument of physicians is essentially that they aren’t being paid enough to treat the ill, which finds poor and “at risk” populations in danger—as usual.

See my earlier remarks on bankruptcy, starvation, etc. The cost to the doctor for a basic office visit is his salary, his staff’s salaries, rent, utilities, and then that wonderful thing called “Liability Insurance” that all doctors must have in order to protect themselves from sue happy patients and lawyers.

Ninety-six doctors measured the value of my life by how much the government is willing to pay for my preventive visit.

Now I would hazard a guess that if you needed medical treatment, you probably would get it. Yes, it might require a visit to the emergency room, (At least prior to all the new death panel regulations imposed by Obamacare), but you would see a doctor.

I remain grateful for the Affordable Care Act and understand that we, the people, must continue to fight to make sure that the access it promises to provide can become tangible for all. Though the government, under President Obama, has made tremendous strides in equalizing the divide between the healthcare ‘haves’ and ‘have nots,’ we still have so far to go.

And here we see the typical barking moonbat. She actually believes all the propaganda coming out of the Obama regime. She thinks that if her master Barack Obama simply orders something to happen, it will. I suspect that if Obama ordered all doctors to take Obamacare patients, even if it did ruin them, this ninny would have no problem with it.

Now I don’t know what Ms. Kimberly’s genetic background is. However, I will hazard a guess that she might be of recent African decent. In the end, it isn’t important and really shouldn’t be. Color is only skin deep, but utter stupidity such as Ms. Kimberly’s goes right to the core. She comes across as the typical Progressive Liberal Democrat. Ignorant, useless and expecting that someone else should take care of her needs.

People like Ms. Kimberly can’t understand why the socialism they like and admire doesn’t work. They can’t understand why individuals despise Obamacare and the actions of the Federal Government. I have little doubt that Ms. Kimberly is fully on board with things like banning hate speech, (Defined as whatever words make HER uncomfortable), racial preferences, (as long as the benefit her), and higher taxes “On the rich,” (as long as hers don’t go up)

Ms. Kimberly is now finding out that just because King Putt issues decrees, it doesn’t mean that anyone is going to follow them. Welcome to the real world Danielle Kimberly. There are no rainbows and unicorn farts don’t power anything.
