Israel verses Hamas, round 503

Good day all. As you know by know, Israel has decided to go into the Gaza strip and clean out the rockets and tunnels used by Hamas to attack Israel. They started with air strikes and have now gone in on the ground.

Israel has been doing everything they can to avoid civilian casualties, going so far as to calling people and telling them to run. Hamas, true to it’s cowardly terrorist roots, is forcing these people back into their homes where they have been storing munitions. Hamas’s goal is to maximize civilian casualties to try and get Israel to stop their attacks and/or get the world to come down on Israel. Well it looks like Israel has made a decision and it doesn’t bode well for Hamas. Israel may have reached the breaking point with these rocket attacks and may have decided that since Hamas won’t agree to a cease fire, then Israel is going to clean them out once and for all.

dogs of war

Needless to say, the United Nations is utterly opposed to Israel either defending itself or cleaning out the Gaza strip. The United States Department of States, and lovers of all things Radical Islam, is sending Secretary of State John “Live shot” Kerry to meet with the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon in the Middle East to try and save Hamas stop the fighting. There have already been calls in the UN Security Council for an immediate cease fire. According to Fox News:

Kerry and U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon are hoping talks in Egypt will result in a cease-fire after days of air and ground assaults have left 20 Israelis and 510 Palestinians dead and tens of thousands driven from their homes in Gaza.

I would suspect the reason that 500 civilians have been killed can be laid directly at the feet of Hamas hiding behind them. If they hadn’t been stopped, at gunpoint by Hamas, they probably would have reached safety. On the other hand, they probably wouldn’t have needed to flee at all if Hamas wasn’t hiding ordnance in their homes, schools and hospitals. As expected, Jugears the coke snorting golf pro chimed in.

President Obama told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Kerry would seek a cease-fire based on the truce agreed to by Israel and Hamas in November 2012. In that agreement, Israel agreed to stop incursions into Gaza as long as Hamas and other Palestinian factions agreed to stop attacking Israel.

And that worked so well the last time, didn’t it? Obama, who really hates Israel and Really likes Hamas and other radical Islamic groups, can’t get it through his thick head that this train left the station a long time ago and promptly derailed. Unlike you and the morons in the State Department, Benjamin Netanyhu doesn’t keep reinforcing failure. Unless the rockets are destroyed and the tunnels filled in, Israel is going to keep on the offensive. As to the UN Security council?

The U.N. Security Council called for an immediate halt to fighting in the Gaza Strip at an emergency session Sunday evening, but stopped short of considering a draft resolution that would have called for Israeli forces to withdraw from the territory.

They would probably demand that Israeli forces pull back for one simple reason. They have a history of supporting anyone who kills Israelis. If ordered out by the UN, I think Israel would tell them to go pound sand. Israel has been finding UN buildings being used to store rockets ((Hamas rockets found hidden in United Nations school in Gaza)), and they have also been known to use UN vehicles to move military supplies and personnel around Gaza ((Islamic terrorists in Gaza using ambulances with children in them, to avoid being targeted by the IDF)).

Now one of the things that’s been going on is a coordinated pro-Hamas, anti-Israel coverup in the Mostly Stupid Media. The New York Slimes Times has been pretty blatant about their support for Hamas. According to the Weekly Standard:

Something important is missing from the New York Times‘s coverage of the war in Gaza: photographs of terrorist attacks on Israel, and pictures of Hamas fighters, tunnels, weaponry, and use of human shields. It appears the Times is silently but happily complying with a Hamas demand that the only pictures from Gaza are of civilians and never of fighters. The most influential news organization in the world is thus manufacturing an utterly false portrait of the battle—precisely the portrait that Hamas finds most helpful: embattled, victimized Gaza civilians under attack by a cruel Israeli military.

Barking Moonbat

The blatant bias by the media has become so bad that even John Kerry took CNN’s Candy Crawley to task over the coverage. Observe:

[youtuber youtube=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEbJuwdTD30′]

Think about that. John Forbes “Live Shot” Kerry, the darling of the Progressive Media, takes one of the left’s favorite journalists to the woodshed over their coverage. Would someone please check the temperature in Hell? I think they’re about to start renting snowplows down there.

Now if Israel decides to go the “Full Monty” on Hamas, they’re going to go into Gaza city. That is not something any army wants to do. House to house fighting is a dirty, bloody and costly business. Frankly, the one military in the world with the most experience is the United States and we wouldn’t want to go door to door if we didn’t have to. Instead, Israel might decide reduce the city, either with a siege or just leveling it. If they decide that’s what needs to be done, then you will know that as far as the United Nations and the rest of the world wants isn’t going to matter to Israel. Hamas had better think about what might happen if Israel decides to push them into the sea. No one is going to help them this time, not even their patrons in Iran.

suck it up Buttercup

There is no way Egypt will come in and Turkey would probably be turn apart if Erdogan ((Recep Tayyip Erdo?an)) ordered Turkish forces to intervene. I think that if Israel wants it, Hamas is finished in Gaza, and that would make things a lot better for the Palestinians…maybe.
