Class act verses a fat dirtbag

Good day all. As I posted last night, a true class act died. Remembrances of the late Robin Williams are pouring in across the net. However, this is going to be a different post. Today I’m going to compare a class act who is working to help a politician win a race verses the beg fat slob who won’t because it might affect his chances at other, higher offices.

I’m talking about Governor of Louisiana Bobby Jindal, who is helping the Republican candidate for Governor of New York, Rob Astorino. He is, along with a number of others, doing whatever they can to assist Mr. Astorino in winning the governorship. However, there is one governor who has refused to help and that is the Jersey Whale, Governor of New Jersey, Chris Christie. Here are the details from the Daily Caller:

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal became the first Republican governor to go against New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie when he agreed to provide aid to Rob Astorino, the New York Republican gubernatorial candidate against incumbent Gov. Andrew Cuomo, the New York Post reports. Jindal has agreed to host a fundraiser for Astorino in Westchester County because, according to the Post, he “believes this race is winnable,” while Christie does not.

Chris Christie has shown himself to be all about Chris Christie. He will do whatever it takes to help himself. Others? Not so much. This is a case in point.

Christie, who is the head of the Republican Governor’s Association, has refused to give funds to Astorino’s campaign, calling it a “lost cause,” which has angered a lot of New York Republicans. It is believed that, according to RGA insiders, Christie’s refusal to help out Astorino is returning the favor to Cuomo for not criticizing him during the infamous “Bridgegate” scandal.

Why is this not a surprise? Who can forget the picture of Christie and Obama after Hurricane Sandy, where he all but got on his knees to give Obama a blowjob? Pretty much no one who follows the Jersey Whale.

The Post says that Jindal’s move is a “shot across Christie’s bow”and “there’s no love lost.” Other Republican governors following Jindal’s lead include Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, Texas Gov. Rick Perry, and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (who has already held a fundraiser for Astorino) to campaign and fundraise for Astorino.

Now the excuse that Cuomo can’t be beat isn’t accurate. Cuomo is in the midst of a scandal that makes “Bridgegate” look like a minor playground shouting match. A few weeks ago I wrote about a commission on political corruption that Cuomo had set up. What Cuomo intended for that commission was to protect himself and his cronies and to go after his enemies. When the commission started getting to close to Coumo, he shut it down.

This ticked off a lot of people and attracted the attention of the U.S. Attorney who is looking into whether or not Cuomo and his staffers directed the commission not to refer certain people to the prosecutors office. The worst case scenario is Andrew Cuomo becomes yet another Democrat governor either forced to resign in disgrace, or prosecuted and sent to join many other former governors in prison.

In any case, thanks to the fiasco of the Moreland commission, Cuomo is now damaged goods in the Democrat Party and is quite beatable if a good opposition candidate runs. Now I don’t know anything about Mr. Astorini. I have no idea what his positions are or if he does have a chance or not. However, in a major state like New York, the Party of Stupid GOP has to back their candidate. Christie’s refusal is part and parcel of the Establishment RINO wing of the GOP. If they can’t guarantee a win, don’t bother investing. Further, if the candidate is backed by the Tea Party or other conservative groups, do everything you can to crush him even if it means losing a winnable seat.

ABJECTSTUPIDITY

Back in 2012 there was talk of Christie being the “Great Republican Hope” to defeat Obama. “Conservative” columnist Ann Coulter was screaming to the heavens that the Republicans had to nominate Christie or the party was doomed to defeat. (Well she was right about the latter but dead wrong with the former) Since then Christie’s chances of winning the nomination, never mind the general election in ANY year have pretty much collapsed. Polls in New Jersey say that he would lose against “Hipkles” Clinton by at least 20 points in a presidential race.

Christie is badly damaged goods and people are seeing him for what he is a loudmouthed near copy of Barack Obama. All he is interested in is himself. (The only real difference between the two is Christie will take responsibility for things that happen under his administration) Screwing over other Republicans is part and parcel of his mindset. “It’s all about me!” (And the box of Krispy Kreme’s on his desk) Selecting the Jersey Whale to be the head of the Republican Governor’s Association has proven to be a mistake, and the Republican governors are showing what true “Class” is. Hopefully, it will help and soon we will be hearing from Governor Astorino.
