Obama, “I heard about ISIS on the news!” and other lies

Good day all. Last week, President Doofus Obama made the remarkably stupid and yet highly accurate statement that he had no strategy for dealing with the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS or ISIL).

The general belief was The SCoaMF, as usual, had ignored or skipped any briefings on them. Well guess what? The Liar in Chief has been briefed on that crew of goat molesting vermin for at least a year. In a story on Fox News:

President Obama was given detailed and specific intelligence about the rise of the Islamic State as part of his daily briefing for at least a year before the group seized large swaths of territory over the summer, a former Pentagon official told Fox News.

The official — who asked not to be identified because the President’s Daily Brief is considered the most authoritative, classified intelligence community product analyzing sensitive international events for the president — said the data was strong and “granular” in detail. The source said a policymaker “could not come away with any other impression: This is getting bad.”

So, once again we see that Der Fubar is living down to his reputation as the most inept, dangerously incompetent and politically corrupt president in the history of the United States. Even Jimmy Carter, the previous holder of the title of “Most Incompetent President Ever” had some sort of strategy. It was always the wrong strategy, but at least he had one. King Putt? His only strategy is choosing the correct club on the back 9. Furthermore, Il Douche can’t even claim to have missed the briefings.

Obama, unlike his predecessors who traditionally had the document briefed to them, is known to personally read the daily brief. The former Pentagon official, who has knowledge of the process, said Obama generally was not known to come back to the intelligence community with further requests for information based on the daily report.

Oh, that’s telling. Those briefs are just that. A summery of what’s going on. They are not detailed reports. The idea is to give the President a general overview of what’s going on with the expectation that he would seek more information on specific parts of the brief. This tells me that Obama read the brief, then circular filed it as unimportant to him. Not the United States, but to him. Personally.

After suggestions that the administration may have been blindsided by the rise of ISIS, and that poor intelligence was to blame, the former Pentagon official said some of the intelligence was so good in the region, that when the president drew a red line on chemical weapons use in Syria in 2012, the information was “exquisite.”

The source said “[we] were ready to fire, on a moment’s notice, on a couple hundred targets,” but no order was given. In some cases, targets were tracked for a “long period of time” but then slipped away.

This has been the standard operating procedure for King Putt since day one. Recall the Freighter, MV Maersk Alabama and how it was taken by Somali pirates. The U.S. Navy sent a few warships and the pirates took to a lifeboat. Eventually, the Navy’s SEAL team saw the chance and took the shots that killed the three pirates in the boat and freeing Captain Richard Phillips. What was not really reported was that Obama was furious with the on site commanders. He had given a wishy washy order that was designed to protect him from the ramifications of a rescue going wrong. The on site commander saw the holes in the orders and unlike “The Spineless One,” gave the order to the SEAL’s to take the shot.

Then we have the Osama bin Laden take down. The Obama crew made it look like he was on top of the whole thing and quickly issued the go order. It’s since come out that Obama was barely involved and that several members of his White House Staff, including Vice President Biden opposed the raid that killed that donkey raping dirtbag. Obama sort of gave his blessing then went back for another round of golf.

More recently we have the brutal murder of James Foley. He was a reporter who was taken by ISIS a couple of years ago and held prisoner. It has since come out that the United States Special Forces mad an attempt to rescue Foley, The problem was the intelligence that had was old, or as the intelligence and military calls it, “Stale.” The reason for this was simple. Obama once again unable to make a decision. His first thought was not saving James Foley, it was covering his own ass in case things went wrong. By the time Il Douche got off the golf course, and made a decision, Foley had been moved and the intelligence services lost track of him. He was next seen on a video being beheaded by ISIS. According to the article on Fox News:

The source also claimed that there was a delay regarding the question of whether to act to save American journalist James Foley from Islamic State militants. The Sunday Times of London first reported that the delay was 30 days. The former Pentagon official described a White House that was hesitant and continually asking for “the intelligence to build up more.”

What Obama was looking for was perfect information. As anyone in the military or intelligence world will tell you, “There ain’t no such thing.” Obama and his White House team of yes men were concerned that this might turn out to be another “Desert One” debacle ((Operation Eagle Claw)). Obama wasn’t concerned with the safety of Foley and any other captives, he was worried that something might go wrong and he would look bad. Since Obama is an extreme narcissist bordering on megalomania, he simply is unable to make hard decisions that might blow up on him. When he has to, he will dither and delay in the hopes that the problem will sort itself out and he won’t need to actually do anything.

This report that Obama’s known how bad ISIS is for at least a year and done nothing is typical of him. I don’t expect him to be micromanaging everything, but I would expect that he would keep himself informed of potential threats and have his foreign policy team putting together various strategies. I have no doubt the Pentagon has all sorts of plans sitting in a filing cabinet somewhere and destroying ISIS, even with the heavily degraded forces we now have, thanks to Obama. What really worries me, and a large number of professionals in and out of government is that we will get hit 9/11 style again and Obama will simply choke….again.

UPDATE

As I was finishing this up, another victim of Obama’s cowardice, incompetence and inability to make tough decisions has been killed. According to the Daily Mail, another American, Steven Sotloff has been killed by ISIS. At this rate, the Obama body count is going to surpass the Clinton body count in short order.
