Democrats are ANGRY in Pennsylvania

Good day all. With everything that has been going on of late, I haven’t been able to tell you why Democrats in Pennsylvania are so angry.

It seems they have been told that if they continue passing unconstitutional local laws, mostly to punish law abiding gun owners, they can be sued and the localities held liable. This is not the usual case. When a lawsuit like this is filed, and the government loses, it’s the taxpayers of the state who have to pay any settlements and legal costs. Here are the amusing details from the Free Beacon:

Pennsylvania Democrats are outraged after a bill was passed that allows gun rights groups like the NRA to sue localities for passing gun control measures that violate state law. Many such Democrats said a provision forcing localities that lose lawsuits to pay the legal fees of the plaintiffs is particularly objectionable.

“This is a dangerous provision that threatens municipalities’ financial stability,” Rep. Madeleine Dean (D., Montgomery) told the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Former Democrat Governor and Mayor of Philadelphia Ed Rendell called the bill “outrageous.”

Over the last 10 to 15 years, many states of started passing what are called supremacy laws. Basically, they will pass a law and make effective over the entire state and the local cities and towns can’t override it. This is a simplistic answer of course, I’m sure the Pennsylvania law is a bit more complicated and detailed. Now the reason for passing this law?

Pennsylvania state law explicitly states that localities may not create their own gun laws. Section 6120 of the state’s Uniform Firearms Act says “no county, municipality, or township may in any manner regulate the lawful ownership, possession, transfer or transportation of firearms, ammunition or ammunition components when carried or transported for purposes not prohibited by the laws of this Commonwealth.”

Localities like Philadelphia and Pittsburgh have passed gun restrictions despite that language. That’s why backers of the new bill say it is necessary. “This is just clarifying current law,” Senate President Pro Tem Joe Scarnati (R., Jefferson) told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “It’s about consistency of gun laws.”

So, the hard left localities, run by the Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrats don’t like the fact that now their own constituencies can be forced to pay for their master’s refusal to follow the law and constitution? So sad. To bad. Maybe if they stop their illegal actions, they won’t get sued all the time. Now I think the law could have been a little better by holding the local officials personally liable and making them pay the legal fees of both the city and the plaintiffs who had to sue to stop them. A few politicians being financially ruined would be a fun thing to watch. Of course, the PLFD’s never ever risk their own wealth when suppressing the rights of the people. That’s what they have serfs taxpayers for. The lesson here for the tyrannical Democrats is don’t be a dumbass.
