Good day all. A bit of a bombshell broke yesterday when Speaker of the House, John “Crybaby” Boehner seem to grow a bit of a spine and invite Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, to address a joint session of Congress.
This announcement caught the White House off guard, and they promptly began complaining about Boehner violating protocol. It seems that Boehner didn’t bother to tell either the White House or the State Department about the invitation and they were surprised by it. Here are some of the details from the National Journal:
President Obama warned Congress Tuesday night that he would veto any new sanctions legislation on Iran, saying it would derail U.S. negotiations in the Middle East. But John Boehner isn’t ready to sit out the battle over Iran’s nuclear program.
“[Obama’s] exact message to us was: ‘Hold your fire.’ He expects us to stand idly by and do nothing while he cuts a bad deal with Iran. Two words: ‘Hell no!'” the House speaker said during his weekly press briefing on Wednesday. “We’re going to do no such thing.”
Instead, Boehner has invited Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address Congress next month. He didn’t consult with the White House before extending the invitation, and administration officials are not happy.
Well, this is a bit of a surprise. I wonder when Crybaby got the spine and testicle implants? I expect they’re just temporary and will dissolve into nothingness in short order. In the meantime, Boehner’s plans seem to be upsetting to the Obama White House.
Press secretary Josh Earnest said Wednesday afternoon that Boehner’s invitation is a breach of normal diplomatic protocol.
Typically, a nation’s leader would contact the White House before planning a visit to the United States, he said.
And you wonder why Boehner ignored the White House? Considering that King Putt is antisemitic, hates Israel and utterly despises Prime Minister Netanyahu, if Boehner had asked for the White House to invite him, they would have tossed the request into the nearest trash can. I guess this is one time where Obama can say he first heard about something on the news and actually could be telling the truth.
The White House heard about the invite from Boehner’s office, not from the Israelis.
Oh, Boehner’s office called and informed them. I guess they didn’t want to take the chance that Il Douche might be on the golf course and miss the evening news.
Earnest said the White House is reserving judgment about the invite until U.S. officials talk to their Israeli counterparts.
Oh that should be an interesting, and brief conversation.
“Hello, We understand that the Prime Minister is coming to Washington and will be speaking to Congress.”
“Who wants to know?”
“Umm, President Obama?”
“Yes, the Prime Minister is coming. Why do you care?”
“Well, it breeches diplomatic protocol among other things.”
“Sucks to be you, doesn’t it? Go talk to the Speaker of the House. We’re busy.” *CLICK*
“Hello? Hello? I think we’ve been disconnected?”
Yep, there is no love lost between Der Fubar and Prime Minister Netanyahu. And it gets better. Not only is he giving a jab to Obama, he’s also sticking it to the Iranians.
Boehner’s office confirmed that Netanyahu has accepted, and will give a speech to a joint session of Congress on Feb. 11. The date is significant: It’s the 36th anniversary of the Iranian Revolution.
The Boehner decision may be unprecedented, especially if the bigger breach of protocol is not that the White House didn’t know, but that the White House wasn’t involved in the invitation.
As I said before, why would they bother talking to that SCoaMF about inviting the Prime Minister to speak to Congress? Does Obama think that the world revolves around him or something? Oh, yes. He does. Never mind.
Boehner’s invite adds fuel to a potential showdown between Congress and the White House over Iran, one that could lead to the first successful veto override of Obama’s tenure as president. Twelve Democrats in the Senate have previously cosponsored legislation to impose sanctions on Iran. If they continue to call for sanctions alongside their Republican colleagues, the Senate may have the two-thirds majority necessary to override an Obama veto.
I think it was Obama’s campaign speech to Congress the other night that finally decided the issues. Obama’s so called State of the Union address has been described as delusional. Now that the GOP has both houses of congress, along with the fact that not all Democrats are utter idiots, (Just most of them), the mess that is our foreign policy, thanks to Obama and his pack of moonbats, has reached the point where we are now really at risk from Iran and Islamic terrorism.
Iran has repeatedly stated that they will use nuclear weapons to destroy Israel, even if it means they are hit by Israel’s nuclear forces in retaliation. We have to do everything we can to prevent those whackjobs from getting nukes, otherwise, they will destroy as many cities in the United States, as well as wiping out Israel, as they can. Boehner, Menendez and others have decided that Obama’s incompetence has to be dealt with. Inviting the Prime Minister is not so much as a breech of protocol as a shot across Obama’s bow.
