Obama’s Amnesty on hold

Good morning all. A federal judge has issued a temporary order stopping Obama’s plan to grant illegal aliens a back door amnesty and legal status.

In a story on Fox News U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen granted a temporary injunction. Here are the details as of now.

A federal judge has granted a request by 26 states to temporarily block President Obama’s executive action on illegal immigration, allowing a lawsuit aimed at permanently stopping the orders to make its way through the courts.

I’m not a lawyer, but Obama’s executive order was more along the lines of a royal decree rather than a constitutional action. Apparently, the judge thinks so too and wants to put a hold on Obama while the case moves through the courts.

U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen granted the preliminary injunction Monday after hearing arguments in Brownsville, Texas last month. He wrote in a memorandum accompanying his order that the lawsuit should go forward and that without a preliminary injunction the states will “suffer irreparable harm in this case.”

Letting five+ million criminals into the United States and then letting them have access to all the welfare goodies they want does seem like irreparable harm to me. The next President would have to reverse the order and then start rounding up these illegals. That’s a nightmare we don’t need.

“The genie would be impossible to put back into the bottle,” he wrote, adding that he agreed with the plaintiffs’ argument that legalizing the presence of millions of people is a “virtually irreversible” action.

It could be reversed, but we wouldn’t like what we would need to do. Needless to say, the criminals in the White House disagree with the Judge.

“The Supreme Court and Congress have made clear that the federal government can set priorities in enforcing our immigration laws-which is exactly what the President did when he announced commonsense policies to help fix our broken immigration system,” Earnest said, later adding “The district court’s decision wrongly prevents these lawful, commonsense policies from taking effect and the Department of Justice has indicated that it will appeal that decision.”

Like anyone is listening to that liar. The whole point of letting these criminals in is to increase the number of Democrat voters, primarily through fraud. Now it’s going to be put on hold until the legal process is completed. The fact that the judge issued the order makes me think he believes the plaintiffs have a strong case and will probably win.

An appeal by the administration would be handled by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans.

And from there it will go to the Supreme Court. How they will rule is anyone’s guess, although you can count on the left wing members to give Obama all the power he craves. Thank you Judge Hanen for throwing a monkey wrench into Obama’s latest illegal action.
