Obamacare tax forms wrong, as expected

Good day all. Tax season has arrived and Americans are now beating their heads against the wall trying to figure out just how much of their money they will be allowed to keep.

The most interesting man in the world on paying taxes

I’m no different. I’m mostly done with my taxes, although I am waiting for a few more forms to come in. So far, it looks like I’ll actually owe taxes for the first time ever. It won’t be much, just a couple of hundred pending my final review.

However, there is something new in the tax forms. Americans are being asked if they have health insurance. If you don’t have insurance, you will be fined taxed over it. However, thanks to a neat little quirk in the law, the Infernal Revenue Service can only steal confiscate your tax refund. No refund, they can’t go after your wages or property. However, for those who did get insurance through Obamacare, apparently there are a lot of questions being asked. Well, now there is a problem with the forms regarding Obamacare that Der Fubar’s minions sent out. They are wrong. Here are the details from Fox News:

The Obama administration revealed Friday that it sent about 800,000 HealthCare.gov customers a tax form containing the wrong information, and asked them to hold off on filing their 2014 taxes.

double-facepalm

The self-inflicted bungle follows weeks of administration officials touting a successful enrollment season — one that saw far fewer technical glitches than the rocky launch in late 2013.

From what I’ve been reading, it wasn’t as smooth as they claim it was. Still, what can you expect from an administration that lies about everything? To continue:

About 11.4 million people signed up this season. But the errors in tax information mean that nearly 1 million people may have to wait longer to get their tax refunds this year. California, which is running its own insurance market, just announced a similar problem affecting about 100,000 people in that state.

For those using HealthCare.gov, the federal health department said on its blog on Friday that some people received a form that included faulty premium information. The blog said that information “needs to be corrected,” and new forms should be available by early March.

That’s assuming that the new forms are correct as well. Considering the staggering incompetence of Obama and his minions, I question whether or not the new forms will be any better than the garbage they just recalled. Still, forcing people who are ready to file now for their refunds to wait until sometime in March isn’t going to set well.

The administration is urging customers, that, “If your form was incorrect, please wait to file your 2014 Federal income taxes.”

And what about those who have already filed? The short answer is, they’re screwed.

That’s a hiccup for anyone trying to get their taxes filed early this year. And the 50,000 or so who already filed may have to resubmit their returns.

holes

As I mentioned, I owe money this year so I intend to wait until the last possible moment before filing. Last year I had a refund coming so I got my taxes done as soon as I could and filed. I think a lot of people are going to be very angry now.

Rep. Diane Black, R-Tenn., said the administration has built a law so complex “that even they don’t know how to properly administer it.”

Nope, they just make it up as they go along.

She said: “This is beyond embarrassing for President Obama and is an unfair blow to taxpayers who are once again left holding the bag for this administration’s incompetence.”

But Representative! Think of the children! Oh wait, they are getting the shaft as well. And as to these forms? Just what are they?

The errors disclosed Friday are in new forms that HealthCare.gov sent to millions of consumers receiving coverage through the federal insurance market that serves most states. Those forms, called 1095-As, are like a W-2 for health care. They provided a month-by-month accounting of the subsidies consumers received to help pay their premiums. That information is then used to make sure everybody got the right amount, not too much, or too little.

Gee, that sounds so Soviet and Totalitarian to me. I want to thank Chief Justice John Roberts for his stupefyingly bad decision to, against all reason, call the fines a tax. And then we have the latest case against this totalitarian piece of drek coming up before the Supreme Court in a couple of months. This one could take all those nice subsidies that people have been getting and take them away. Then I expect all those people will be forced to pay back the money.

Obamacare is a disaster. The progressive want to keep it going since their final goal is state run medical system where all medical workers are government employees and everyone gets the same bad medical care…except for the ruling elite’s like Obama and the other members of the Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrats.

Obamacare, Shovel Ready

Obamacare is going to die eventually. The IRS will eventually be stripped of a lot of it’s powers as well. The only problem will be just how many people get killed before things change.
