Good day all. Earlier this week, Governor Scott Walker, (R-Wisconsin), announced that he too is in the running for the office of President of the United States. He joins a large group of candidates and will probably be in the top tier group with Jose Arbusto and Donald Trump.
Walker is probably one of the few of the current crop I would consider. I do have a few issues with him. He does seem a little squishy on illegal aliens. However, he has been good on other issues and the unions absolutely despise him. They hate him and what he’s done in Wisconsin that they actually tried to recall him. They lost spectacularly.
Walker, unlike Governor Fatso Christie, has a real record of accomplishments. Not everything is perfect of course. I’ve heard odds and ends coming out of the state, and then there was the John Doe investigations. Walker should have shut that down hard once it was determined to be nothing more than a witch hunt and a means to suppress republicans.
As I mentioned earlier, Walker has had a a few problems with his stance on immigration. According to the Green Bay Press Gazette:
Walker has been criticized by some Republican rivals and Democrats alike for changing his views. He once supported a pathway to citizenship as part of a comprehensive overhaul of immigration laws – something Bush is repeatedly criticized for.
Walkers response?
“My view has changed. I’m flat out saying it,” Walker said on Fox News.
We shall see. I do like the fact that he’s not hemming and hawwing around. The question is, if he wins, will he maintain this stance or will he flip flop? It all depends of course. Has he finally seen what sort of scum are coming in, or is he just saying this knowing that illegal aliens are considered a threat by most voters. In any case, welcome to the party pal.
