Good day all. The number of people who have announced, or are planning to announce their run for the Presidency has grown a bit larger. Former Senator Jim Webb has announced he will seek the Democrat Nomination.
If anyone could make Cankles Clinton nervous, it’s Webb. He isn’t a hardcore communist, a moron or a crook like Clinton. He is actually that rarest of Democrats, a basically loyal, patriotic American. Here are a few details on his announcement from Fox News:
Former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb is jumping into the race for president, becoming the latest Democrat to try for a primary upset over frontrunner Hillary Clinton. In a message to supporters obtained by Fox News, and later posted on his website, Webb says: “After many months of thought, deliberation and discussion, I have decided to seek the office of the Presidency of the United States.”
Personally, I don’t think Webb has a prayer. Today’s Democrat party has many things in common with the Nazi party. To be honest, the only difference between the Democrat party and the Nazis is body count. The party base will rip him apart, not to mention what Cankles will do to him.
Webb, 69, is cut from a far different political cloth than the independent, socialist-leaning Vermont senator. A highly decorated Vietnam veteran and former secretary of the Navy under the Reagan administration, Webb had been seriously mulling a presidential run since establishing an exploratory committee in November 2014.
Much as I hate to say it, Web’s resume, not to mention working for Reagan, is the kiss of death with today’s totalitarian moonbats.
Considered a moderate-to-conservative Democrat who supports gun rights and is strong on defense, Webb contends his candidacy would appeal to a wide swath of voters who feel disenfranchised by Washington politics.
Not really. The last thing the Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrats want is someone who would look at strengthening the defenses of this nation, isn’t anti-gun and would more than likely slaughter ISIS and put Iran back in their box without their precious nuclear weapons.
“I understand the odds, particularly in today’s political climate where fair debate is so often drowned out by huge sums of money. I know that more than one candidate in this process intends to raise at least a billion dollars — some estimates run as high as two billion dollars — in direct and indirect financial support,” he wrote. “We need to shake the hold of these shadow elites on our political process.
That would be Cankles. I wonder how much of that money will actually be spent on the campaign, and how much will be spent on gathering blackmail information on potential enemies, bribes, and hitmen to “Solve certain political problems?”
Webb also chided both parties on national security. He said he would not have advocated the Iraq war or used military force in Libya during the Arab Spring. “I warned repeatedly that this use of our military did not meet the test of a grave national security interest,” he said, adding: “The attack in Benghazi was inevitable in some form or another.”
On Iraq, Webb is using hindsight. On Libya, everyone knew that was going to be a disaster. I hope he anchors the decision to go after Gaddafi to Cankles left cankle.
But he said he “would make it clear to our friends and our potential adversaries that we will retain vigorous relationships with our treaty partners and our allies, and that we will meet and defeat any international terrorist movement that threatens our national security.”
Well that would be a change for the better after 8 years of Der Fubar sucking up to our enemies and stabbing our friends in the back.
Webb has a high hill to climb in the 2016 race. Most polls show him trailing with just over 2 percent nationally, roughly tied with former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley.
O’Malley the rain taxer isn’t man enough to lick the soles of Webb’s shoes after he accidentally steps in a pile of dog crap. Now if Webb were to win the nomination, he would probably make short work of most of the Republican candidates. However, the base would allow him anywhere near the nomination. I suspect it’s going to come down to Cankles Clinton and Comrade Party Secretary Bernie Sanders.
