Mass Murderer James Holmes GUILTY!

Good evening all. News has just come out that the Colorado theater shooter, James Holmes, has been convicted of murder. His attempt to be declared not guilty by reason of insanity has been rejected.

According to Fox News:

Jurors convicted Colorado theater shooter James Holmes on Thursday in the chilling 2012 attack on defenseless moviegoers at a midnight Batman premiere, rejecting defense arguments that the former graduate student was insane and driven to murder by delusions.

He may have been nuts, but he knew what he was doing and that it was wrong. To be insane, he would have to have no understanding that what he was doing was wrong. In other words, he would have to be essentially a gibbering idiot who thought the theater goers were invading Martins or something.

MarvintheMartianJurors took about 13 hours over a day and a half to review all 165 charges. The same panel must now decide whether Holmes should pay with his life.

Oh yes, this is a death penalty case and I suspect it won’t take very long for the jury to decide to tag him and bag him.

During the sentencing phase, Holmes’ attorneys will present so-called mitigating factors that they hope will save his life. Those will probably include more evidence of mental illness and a sympathetic portrayal of his childhood.

Good luck with that. Now once the jury decides that the murderer should be executed, his attorneys will start the decades of appeals to keep this worthless pile of rotted manure alive. Even when the appeals finally run out, there will be the question of actually getting Colorado to give this criminal the Hot Shot and put him down like the rabid animal he is.

A tip of the hat to the jury for sitting through this trial and coming to the correct decision.
