Good day all. The title of this post asks a very interesting question. Do you think that Obama is investing in firearms companies as well as companies that manufacture ammunition and aftermarket add-ons?
He must be, since gun sales are at the highest they’ve ever been. Every time King Putt “shoots his mouth off” regarding gun control, sales skyrocket. Here are a few details on the “Obama Effect” from The Hill:
Gun production has more than doubled over the course of the Obama administration, according to a new report from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
The manufacturing boom has come in the face of the president’s push to expand background checks and place new restrictions on guns in the wake of high-profile shootings like the recent mass-killing in Charleston, S.C., and the 2012 massacre at a Newtown, Conn., elementary school. The numbers paint a picture of gun owners who are concerned about new restrictions on their Second Amendment rights, activists say.
Well, this isn’t at all surprising is it? We’ve seen just how well gun control has worked in the past, and now people have decided that the time has come to take matters into their own hands when it comes to defending themselves, their families and their neighbors.
“The ATF report confirms what we already know, that Barack Obama deserves the ‘Gun Salesman of the Decade’ award,” said Erich Pratt, spokesman for the Gun Owners of America. “People have been rushing to buy firearms because they’re afraid that Obama will take away their Second Amendment rights.
Obama may try to take them away, but the people of America have spoken, and spoken with their wallets. Of course, for people like Obama and Diane Feinstein, what the American people want has no bearing on their goals.
“President Obama has been relentless in his attacks on the Second Amendment, and it’s not shocking people are frightened and want to protect themselves,” National Rifle Association spokeswoman Jennifer Baker said. “He’ll stop at nothing to strip people of their constitutional rights to self-protection.”
One of the things that most people have either forgotten, or didn’t know thanks to the Mostly Stupid Media covering it up, was that the Fast&Furious debacle was designed as a gun control program. The plan was to allow guns to walk across the border into Mexico. When they were recovered after a crime, they would be traced back to the stores of origin and then Obama would use that as an excuse to shut down or at least seriously restrict gun sales. We saw how that worked out for him.
The spike in gun sales stems from a “constant attack on our constitutional right to keep and bear arms,” said Joe Neville, director of political affairs at the National Association for Gun Rights. “President Obama has made it very clear he wants to strip away our gun rights, so people are going out and purchasing more firearms and ammunition,” Neville explained.
As you might expect, the gun control mob disagrees with this statement.
But gun safety advocates say this is nothing more than a “scare tactic” employed by the gun industry. “The gun lobby seizes on those fears and uses scare tactics and doomsday rhetoric in order to sell more guns,” said Mark Prentice, spokesman for Americans for Responsible Solutions, the gun safety group run by former congresswoman Gabby Giffords, who survived a 2011 mass shooting in Tucson.
I’m not going to be nice to Giffords. Recently, her husband was caught trying to buy an AR-15 under false pretensis. The sale never when through when the gun store, seeing what Mark E. Kelly, Giffords husband, was up to. Giffords and her husband are just another pair of statists who believe that the Second Amendment should be repealed.
Sales of guns and ammo are going up for many reasons. One big one is the constant attempts by the Progressive Fascist Liberal Democrats to suppress the constitutional rights of both the individual citizens and the states. Then we see the riots caused by groups who think they should have free reign to rob, rape and murder due to their skin color. Then we have literal nuts and whack jobs going in to gun free zones and slaughtering law abiding, and defenseless people. Finally, we are seeing are also seeing attacks by Islamic terrorists, also against areas where people aren’t allow to have guns.
People have had enough of this. They have seen how long it takes for the police to show up and they will no longer put their safety into the hands of others. One of the biggest groups buying guns these days are women. Yes, women. Why? Because a gun is also known as an “Equalizer.” A 5′ 2” woman with a gun, the training and willingness to use it generally ends poorly for the 6’2” rapist.
