Good day all. Over the last couple of years, the Old Farmers Almanac has been forecasting the long term weather. They’ve been saying “Cold and snowy” for the last couple of years, and damn it if they haven’t been right!
Well, they’re doing it again. They’re saying we’re in for another cold and snow filled winter. Here are a few details from Associated Press:
Just when you thought you had gotten over last winter, be warned: The Old Farmer’s Almanac predicts it will be super cold with a slew of snow for much of the country, even in places that don’t usually see too much of it, like the Pacific Northwest. If you don’t want to read about those four-letter words, there’s plenty more to peruse in the folksy, annual book of household tips, trends, recipes and articles, such as animal jealousy, the history of shoes and anticipation for the biggest Supermoon in decades in November 2016.
Otherwise, look for above-normal snow and below-normal temperatures for much of New England; icy conditions in parts of the South; and frigid weather in the Midwest. The snowiest periods in the Pacific Northwest will be in mid-December, early to mid-January and mid- to late February, the almanac predicts.

I can’t handle another winter like the last one. Between the cold and the upwards of 8 FEET of snow in my front yard, last winter was an absolute nightmare. Where’s that global warming I’ve ordered? I’ve been looking for it. Al Gore promised that it was coming and that snow would be a thing of the past. He wouldn’t lie to us, now, would he?

I know, I think we should bring a class action lawsuit against the old shyster. I live in Maine and we had much the same oodles of snow and bone chilling cold (thank God for Eddie Bauer coats). when the predictions of hotter weather started i was psyched; longer summers, longer growing season. I’d have time to grow green peppers and different varieties of tomatoes
