Islamist groups control the Narrative

Good day all. This story came out last night and if it pans out, could be the biggest scandal yet in the history of the most corrupt administration in history. A former employee of the Department of Homeland Security has sent an open letter to Congress that states that Islamic groups are getting the Security agencies to stop investigations into Muslim extremists.

The author of the letter, Philip Haney, is a retired entomologist working at the DHS, used his training to keep Jihadists out of the United States. Here are the details from the Daily Caller:

When the name of the terrorist group that the San Bernardino extremists — Sayed Farook and Tashfeen Malif — were affiliated with became public, a retired Department of Homeland Security employee, whose work was shut down out of fear of offending Muslims, sat up straight in his chair.

That’s my case,” he exclaimed, hearing al-Huda and Tablighi Jamaat — both movements a part of the Deobandi movement within Islam.

Trained as an entomologist, retired DHS employee Philip Haney used his skills of observation and attention to detail at the Customs and Border Protection agency to keep Americans safe from violent jihadists. Haney says it all comes down to “follow the trail, find the nest.”

But under pressure from the Department of State, which received letters like this one from external civil liberties groups that advocate for less scrutiny of Muslim groups, Haney’s superiors closed down his work on the Deobandi movement and many other potential terrorist groups.

Once again, the Sate Department forgets who they are supposed to be working for. Here’s a hint for you morons. It isn’t declared enemies of the Untied States and their allies.

Back in 2012, seven officials from the Department of State and the Department of Homeland Security’s Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Division (CRCL) found Haney’s work objectionable, leading to the 2012 effort to close his work down as the civil rights of foreign nationals could be violated.

The “Civil Rights” of foreign nationals? First, if they aren’t in the United States, they HAVE NO RIGHTS HERE! Second, if they are in the United States, and they pose a threat to the United States and it’s citizens, they can be deported back to the Islamic Hellholes they came from. Third, 2012? And who was the Secretary of State at that time?

The administration was more concerns about the civil rights and liberties of foreign Islamic groups with terrorist ties than the safety and security of Americans,” Haney says.

That doesn’t surprise me one bit. The entire purpose of the Obama Regime has been to aid and abet Islamic Extremists. Eight years ago, when Obama was coming into office, the Middle East, while not peaceful, was reasonably stable. The Iraq situation, even with the utter incompetence of the Bush Administration, was winding down with a victory for the U.S. Afghanistan was still a problem, (and frankly should have been the priority for Bush, Not Iraq), but it to was slowly improving. In comes Obama and the whole region detonates.

A colleague supporting Haney’s whistleblowing told him, “’All I can think about are the peoples’ families in San Bernardino because our job was to stop things like that, and there’s an irrefutable direct connection because it was part of the case,’” Haney recounts in this 23-minute exclusive video interview for The Daily Caller News Foundation. “When these records were deleted, the dots were deleted. The plausible possibility was eradicated.”

And now I think we’re crossing over into Treason. Not by Mr. Haney and the others who tried to stop attacks and protect the United States, but by those who put Islamic “feelings” ahead of Americans. There is only one place this could have come from. The very top of the “food chain” as it were. The White House and the office of Secretary of State. Mr. Haney didn’t just roll over, he fought back, and paid for his loyalty to the United States.

Challenging these policy changes up his DHS chain of command, and then to the Department’s Inspector General, Haney’s courage and tenacity to protect Americans only ended up putting a target on his own back. Of Haney’s records, 67 were deleted. He faced discipline and retaliation, until he finally retired in July of this year after enduring significant personal and professional “trauma and difficulty.”

This sort of retaliation is part and parcel for the Obama Regime. Whoever the next President is, with on notable exception, I hope they put together an investigative team to go through all the shenanigans that Obama and his cronies have been doing. The “Notable Exception” I mentioned? That would be Cankles Clinton. She has to become president in order to destroy all evidence of her crimes.

Finally, Mr. Haney sent a letter to Congress detailing all the issues he has been dealing with since that group of treasonous scum took office. Here is the letter he sent courtesy of Scribd:

15 December, 2015

An Open Letter to Members of Congress:
In the aftermath of the most devastating and lethal jihadist attack in the United States since 9/11, Americans are rightly angry their government will not face the problem of Islamic terrorism honestly.
I know this first-hand.

During my 13 years at the Department of Homeland Security, I worked tirelessly to identify and prevent terrorism in the United States. As a recognized “founding member” of DHS, it was among my responsibilities to raise concern, not only about the individuals primed for imminent attack, but about the networks and ideological support that makes those terrorist attacks possible.

I investigated numerous groups such as the Deobandi Movement, Tablighi Jamaat, and al-Huda as their members traveled into and out of the United States in the course of my work. Many were traveling on the visa waiver program, which minimizes the checks and balances due to agreements with the countries involved. But the scrutiny we were authorized to apply was having results. This investigation could possibly have prevented the San Bernardino jihadist attack by identifying its perpetrators, Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik, based on their associations with these groups.

Almost a year into this investigation, it was halted by the State Department and the DHS Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties. They not only stopped us from connecting more dots, the records of our targets were deleted from the shared DHS database. The combination of Farook’s involvement with the Dar Al Uloom Al Islamiyah Mosque and Malik’s attendance at al-Huda would have indicated, at minimum, an urgent need for comprehensive screening. Instead, Malik was able to avoid serious vetting upon entering the United States on a fiancé visa—and more than a dozen Americans are dead as a result.

The investigation was not stopped because it was ineffective, it was stopped because the Administration told us the civil rights of the foreign nationals we were investigating could be violated. When did foreign nationals gain civil rights in the United States, especially when they are associated with groups we already know are involved in terrorist activity? Based on what I have seen in the Department of Homeland Security, I no longer have the confidence this administration can adequately vet or screen refugees or immigrants from Islamic countries.

I took my story to the American people last week. Remarkably this week, DHS’ former acting under-secretary for intelligence and analysis, John Cohen, told ABC News that under the direction of DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson, potential immigrants’ social media activity was off-limits to those responsible for screening.

Just as they did when they halted my investigation in 2012—which could have provided key intelligence and potentially saved over a dozen lives—DHS described a potential “civil liberties backlash” if the law enforcement officals tasked with keeping our country secure did the most basic checks on potential travelers, immigrants and refugees. Parents checking on someone their child may be dating look at social media, but our law enforcement officials can’t?

This administration has a deadly blind spot when it comes to Islamic terrorism. It is not willing to allow proper vetting and screening of refugees or immigrants from Islamic countries; Congress must take action to defend the security of the American people. I understand the desire to welcome as many immigrants and refugees as possible, especially those fleeing dangerous conflict zones. However, this administration has handcuffed law enforcement officials tasked with vetting these individuals appropriately and that places the American people in danger.

Philip B. Haney

DHS, Customs & Border Protection Officer (Ret.)

Mr. Haney has sent up a flare. It will be ignored and you can’t count on the Democrats and the Obama Regime to do everything they can to destroy this fine man, up to and including false arrest on bogus charges. He has committed the cardinal sin of showing the world that Obama and his minions are a direct threat to the security of the United States, the American People, and those people who have lawfully come to America. If this doesn’t get Congress of their collective dead asses, nothing will and the Republic is dead.
