Marco Rubio calls it a day

Good day all. Yesterday we had another series of Primaries and this morning we have the latest GOP(e) candidate “Suspending his campaign.” Marco Rubio has exited stage right and left the building.

This morning, the final numbers are in and Trump cleaned house, losing only in Ohio to the final hope of the GOP(e), John Kasich. That wasn’t a big surprise of course since Kasich is governor of Ohio. In Florida, the home state of Marco the Rubot, things were a little different. Rubio basically stabbed all the people who get him into the senate right in the back. They repaid him by ending his political career with a crushing 20 point loss to Trump. Now he has said goodbye. Here are the details from CBS Miami:

I want to congratulate Donald Trump on a big victory in Florida.” With those words, Marco Rubio opened his speech to supporters in Miami Tuesday night after learning Trump won the GOP primary in Rubio’s home state.

While it is not God’s plan that I be President in 2016 or maybe ever, and while today while today my campaign is suspended, the fact that I’ve even come this far is event of how special America truly is and all the reason more while we must do all that we can to ensure that this nation remains a special place. I ask the people do not give in to the fear, do not give in to the frustration.”

With those words, Marco Rubio’s quest for the White House came to an end.

Rubio never recovered from his “Gang of 8” amnesty for illegal aliens debacle. He, and pretty much everyone in the GOP(e), so utterly missed what was going on with illegal immigration that anyone who wasn’t serious about dealing with the issue, let alone pushing to open up the borders, was politically Dead on Arrival.

First Jeb! Bush had his head handed to him. His campaign blew $100 million and he won far fewer, (total 4) delegates than Rubio. Recently we had the Hunchback of Ohio, John Kasich come out and say he too would throw open the borders and give amnesty to the criminal aliens. His chances of winning the presidency are pretty much zero even with a brokered convention.

Rubio, who might have been able to win reelection as a Senator, (Maybe. He really pissed off a lot of people in Florida), decided to run for President instead, trying to emulate Barack Obama. Now, as of January 2017, he, like me at the moment, will be unemployed. His political career is pretty much over now. So, as is my tradition this season, allow me to serenade Marco Rubio as he takes to his boat and slowly sinks into irrelevance.
