Good day all. This weekend we had a series of caucuses/primaries in the western part of the country. The three states, Alaska, Hawaii and Washington all went to the polls yesterday.
The results for the Republican side of things are still being counted. Cruz won Alaska and Trump won Hawaii. Washington is still unreported as of this posting. However, the Democrat side of things has been reported and good, wrinkly Cankles Clinton was skunked by good old communist Comrade Bernie Sanders. Here are some details from Fox News:
Sen. Bernie Sanders was projected to win the Alaska, Washington and Hawaii Democratic presidential caucuses — victories he hopes will spark a Western states comeback and help him cut into frontrunner Hillary Clinton’s substantial lead. The Associated Press projected Sanders the winner of the Alaska and Washington contests Saturday, while the results of Hawaii’s presidential contest weren’t announced until early Sunday morning.
The Hawaii results weren’t delayed. You have to remember that they are way out in the Pacific and is three hours behind west coast time. Their polls were still open long after Washington State’s closed. With these wins, Comrade Bernie closes the delegate gap a bit wit Cankles.
Clinton leads by roughly 300 pledged delegates, with 142 up for grabs Saturday. Washington had the biggest prize, 101 delegates, followed by Hawaii with 25 and Alaska with 16.
Of course, you have to take into account just how rigged the system is in favor of Cankles. Still, the fact that Cankles, baring indictment, will be the nominee isn’t slowing Comrade Bernie down one bit.
“We knew things were going to improve as we headed west,” Sanders said at a rally in Madison, Wis. “We are making significant inroads in … Clinton’s lead … We have a path toward victory.”
Umm, no Bernie, you don’t. There are those pesky super-delegates Cankles has sewn up. Unless you can figure out some way to peel them away from her, you don’t have a snowballs chance in Hell of winning the nomination. Still, throwing a good scare into her is always amusing.
Sanders, a democratic socialist, on Saturday acknowledged his struggles in recent contests across the South, with its strong conservative voting bloc.
Yeah, they really hate communists down there and always have. This is one reason the South has moved into the GOP camp. People down there like keeping their hard earned money.
But he remained optimistic about upcoming contests in the more liberal West including those in Oregon and California, which alone offers 546 delegates.
And even if he wins there, it won’t be enough. The fix is in after all and it’s Cankles “Turn” now. (Gee, wasn’t that the way the GOP(e) used to pick candidates?)
Sanders is popular among younger and more progressive Americans.
These “Younger and more progressive” people are the same special snowflakes who are terrified of Trumps name written in chalk.
However Sanders continues to struggle to connect with Hispanic and African-American voters.
That’s because they aren’t complete idiots. There is some question if they will even continue voting as a block for the Democrats come November. After decades of doing so, things are a lot worse for their communities now than 50 years ago. However, that’s a post for another day.
Going into Saturday, Clinton had a 1,223-to-920 lead on Sanders in so-called pledged delegates, who are bound to candidates by their states’ elections. It takes 2,383 delegates to clinch the nomination.
And that makes the race turkey neck to turkey neck between the Crook and the Communist. Of course, there are still those super-delegates I’ve mentioned. All of them are currently being held in bondage pledged to Cankles Clinton, and unless Comrade Bernie can peel a significant number away from her, he still can’t win.
Sanders still needs a dramatic surge to catch Clinton or even hold her under the number needed to clinch the nomination, despite the optimism and fund raising numbers, which also include collecting more than $140 million from 2 million donors.
Comrade Bernie has raised $140 million? How did he manage that since most of his base is made up of incredibly stupid people with masters degrees in LGBT studies, making them highly qualified to ask, “Would you like fries with your order?” Do you think I’m joking? Here’s a typical idiot’s reasons for voting for Comrade Bernie.
“I think one of the biggest things is free tuition for students and getting big money out of politics,” said Savannah Dills, 24, a college student who supports Sanders. “He’s not paid for by billionaires.”
I think this dimbulb might want to take a look at who is donating to his campaign. There are also the assorted superpacs that are funneling money into his campaign. (By law, there can be no connection between campaigns and superpacs, but really?) Meanwhile, Cankles, who pretty much has the Democrat nomination sewn up, has been thinking about her pending arrest the general election.
Clinton has been looking past the primary contests and aiming at potential Republican challengers. In interviews, rallies and speeches this week, she largely focused on Tuesday’s deadly attacks in Brussels, casting GOP front-runner Donald Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz as unqualified to deal with complicated international threats.

Bernie Sanders and his followers may think he will win the nomination, but he won’t. Cankles would have to be arrested in order to give Comrade Bernie a chance, and even then, I would wager the Democrats will do to him what the GOP(e) wants to do to Trump and Cruz. Give the nomination to someone, anyone else. Hmm, I’m out of popcorn again.
