Or perhaps not. It seems it’s been snowing there for the first time in, well it’s the first time in recorded history apparently. Here are the details from Dominica News Online:
No, it is not an April Fools Day joke, snowflakes actually fell in the neighbouring French island of Guadeloupe. The event, which was described as ‘exceptional’ by a French meteorologist took place on Thursday, March 31 in the municipality of St. Claude. Reports from French media indicate that a very fine snowfall blanketed the hills above the town.
These “Hills” must be the height of the Himalaya’s or something to have snow on them.
French meteorologist, Alain Museleque, explained the extraordinary phenomenon on Guadeloupe Premiere TV.
“We had a mass of clouds that arrived over St. Claude,” he said in French and translated by McCathy Marie. “Accompanying this mass of clouds was some very cold air. In this very cold air, in the mass of clouds, we had the creation of some snowflakes which fell to the ground. This has never before been seen in Guadeloupe. This is an exceptional event that we will never forget.”

Yes, this is yet another kick in the groin for the Church of Global Warming Climate Change, (Algore Akbar! Algore be Praised!) Here they are, screaming that snow is a thing of the past, that the ice caps are gone and we’re all going to die because the Earth is turning into another Venus. What this event shows is that they don’t have a clue what they are talking about and that the Climate is far to complicated for current science to predict or understand. So, get your skis and hit the slopes of the La Soufriere Volcano. It’s been set up as the ultimate Double black Diamond.
