Good day all. By now you’ve heard that Donald Trump has endorsed the endangered RINO herd, made up of Paul Ryan, John McCain and Kelly Ayotte.
This has angered a number of Trump supporters. I will admit, at first glance, it angered me as well. Then I looked into what he did and is doing. He gave them hearty endorsements, but he isn’t campaigning for them, nor is he raising money or appearing with them. This tells me that he gave these endorsements for “Party unity.” (Basically to get the RINOS4Hillary and the NeverTrump(ers) to shut the Hell up)
Trump’s primary goal it to be elected President. After that, he will need to “Do Deals” with the Congress to fix the problems caused by the last 4 presidents and Congress. If giving a few endorsements will help in his goal of winning the election, then it’s a good deal.
What it doesn’t mean is that the local voters have to pay any attention to his endorsements, and in Paul Ryan’s case, they aren’t. Paul Ryan is facing what amounts to an outright revolt among his constituents. Whether or not his primary challenger, Paul Nehlen can defeat him will be determined in a few days. For information on how bad things are for Ryan, there is an article in Breitbart about signs now appearing in his district. The signs are firmly tongue in cheek and say things like:
“International Bankers For Paul Ryan”
“Wages Are Too High. Vote Paul Ryan”
“Keep Our Borders Open”
[youtuber youtube=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gbp_JQ7RxqM’]
It doesn’t help Ryan that families of people murdered by illegal aliens have been trying to confront Ryan and all he has done is run away to avoid them. Polling in this district doesn’t appear to be up to date, but the last information I heard was that Ryan was leading by 70%. However, the polling at all levels this year has been nothing short of a joke. We’re going to have to wait and see what the final poll results in this and other races will be. That will be on primary election day in each state.
