Good day all. There have been a couple of explosions in New York City and in New Jersey. The first one was a pipe bomb placed in a trash can in Seaside Park, NJ. Of course, the 72 hour rule is in effect.
This one caused no injuries, but it looks like it was intended to. There was a charity 5K run to benefit military personnel. According to the NJ.com, there were several pipe bombs wired together, but only one went off. Fortunately, there were no injuries. The reason that no one was hurt was due to the start of the race being delayed due to another potential bomb being located and checked. As far as I know, it was a false alarm. If the race had gone off on schedule, many people may have been hurt or killed.
The second bomb was in New York City and was apparently a pressure cooker bomb similar to the ones used in Boston a few years ago. This one did cause injuries. According to Fox News, a second device was located and defused. Here is what we know so far according to Fox:
An explosion that injured at least 29 people in New York City late Saturday appeared to be “an intentional act,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said, as sources told Fox News a second device — a pressure cooker — was found four blocks away.
And as you would expect from de Blasio, he claims that this wasn’t a terrorist attack.
De Blasio said the explosion had no known connection to terrorism and wasn’t related to a pipe bomb explosion at a charity run in New Jersey earlier Saturday.
“Tonight, New York City experienced a very bad incident,” de Blasio said at a news conference near the scene in Chelsea. “We have no credible and specific threat at this moment.”
By it’s very actions, a bomb set off in a public space IS a terrorist attack. As to whether or not the New Jersey bomb and the New York bombs were connected, the investigation will determine that. Personally, and remember that the 72 hour rule is in effect, I think they are connected.
The blast, which happened at around 8:30 p.m. on West 23rd Street, appeared to originate from a construction toolbox in front of a building, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press. A garbage can was found mangled nearby.
Less than three hours after the explosion, investigators located a pressure cooker inside a plastic bag at West 27th Street that was attached to wiring and a cellphone, a law enforcement source told Fox News. It was not clear what was inside the device. Police advised residents of the block where the pressure cooker was found to stay away from windows facing 27th Street.
Apparently, there had been no indications that a terrorist attack might happen.
Fox News was told there had been no prior intelligence suggesting Saturday’s events may have been imminent. Sources also said it did not appear to be a gas explosion.
Of course, the NYPD was forced to close down their intelligence gathering system because it “Offended” certain groups. (Muslims) It isn’t surprising at all that no one knew this was going to happen. Of course, it’s also possible, probably very likely, that this was the work of one terrorist, or a very small cell of terrorists who stayed off the radar and their cell phones.
The FBI and NYPD would not rule out terrorism as a possible factor but law enforcement sources told Fox News it was too early to determine the exact cause. Police did not say whether they had any potential suspects. Homeland Security officials and the ATF arson and explosive task force were also aiding the investigation.
I think we can hazard a guess on who was responsible for this.
Of course, the Liberals will try to blame this on Trump supporters. It’s what they do after all. According to the report, Obama was informed of the detonations and the recovered IED.
The White House said President Barack Obama has been apprised of the explosion, which came hours after a pipe bomb exploded in Seaside Park, N. J.
At which point, King Putt went out for another round of golf.
All this is on top of a report from Fox News of a man attacking people in a mall in Minnesota with a knife. No one but the attacker was killed, (Shot by an off duty cop from another town), but he was observed to ask his targets if they were Muslims. Again, the 72 hour rule is in effect, but I think it’s safe to say that members in good standing of the “Religion of Peace”, (My ass), have decided it’s time to go Jihading again.
