Reince Preibus Named Chief of Staff

Good day all. This just came out. Republican National Committee chairman, Reince Preibus has just been named by President-Elect Donald Trump to be his Chief of Staff.

seen-coming

This story just broke within the last hour so there aren’t to many details. Here’s what Fox News is reporting:

President-elect Donald Trump will appoint Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus as his chief of staff, two sources with knowledge of the decision told Fox News Sunday.

Priebus was one of Trump’s most loyal lieutenants during the real estate mogul’s up-and-down campaign that resulted in many Republicans, particularly lawmakers seeking reelection, to distance themselves from Trump.

I was surprised at how Priebus landed on various Republicans during the primaries and especially at the convention when they tried to shaft Donald Trump. I can see why President-Elect Trump would ask him to be his Chief of Staff. First, Priebus has shown his loyalty to Trump, standing with him through thick and thin.

He also handled the primaries in a fair and impartial manner, unlike Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, who actively rigged it in favor of Felonia von Pantsuit. Finally, he has shown excellent skills at herding cats, and one thing President Trump wants, is competent people who can do the jobs he tells them to do.

Congratulations are in order to Mr. Preibus. You’re going to need them when dealing with Rinos like Mitch McSpineless and Paul RINO.

Knowing how close Priebus and spineless weasel Ryan *had* been in the past — whether they still are or not remains to be seen when/if actual actions *beyond* merely naming names to fill positions becomes possible in two months — I am not jumping for joy.

But I’m also willing to wait and see. Because of several reasons, one of which is that people DO change (sometimes). And because he DID support Trump when too many other loudmouth buffoons were rantings and screaming at the top of their lungs that he COULD have quietly sabotaged him and gotten huge public ‘adoration’ for his ‘leadership’. But he had enough sense to realize that he had no other option: it was either support Trump or guarantee 40+ states for Felonia von Pantsuit. And probably 60+ senators and 65+% D control of congress.

And who knows, but maybe Priebus just figured things out faster and his past history will allow him to figure out a way to perform spinal insertion surgery on Ryan… and give him a brain and some guts to go with the backbone. Stranger things have happened, after all… not often, but they have happened.

So I have reservations but I’m hoping to be wrong about them. We’ll see.
