Trump and the Progressive OODA loop

Good day all. As the first week of the Progressive Nightmare on Steroids, better known as President Donald J. Trump, comes to a close, people are beginning to notice that President Trump has gotten inside the Progressive’s OODA Loop.

Now you may be asking, “What the Hell is an OODA loop?” According to Wikipedia, the OODA which stands for Observe, Orient, Decide, Act:

The phrase OODA loop refers to the decision cycle of observe, orient, decide, and act, developed by military strategist and United States Air Force Colonel John Boyd. Boyd applied the concept to the combat operations process, often at the strategic level in military operations. It is now also often applied to understand commercial operations and learning processes. The approach favors agility over raw power in dealing with human opponents in any endeavor.

When you say that someone has gotten inside his opponents OODA loop, it means that you are forcing your opponent to expend time, resources and energy on what you want them to do, not on what they want to do. In the case of President Trump, it’s his remarks on things like the inauguration crowd size, the possibility of voter fraud and anything else he thinks of that can send the Mostly Stupid Media on a tangent while he proceeds with his true agenda.

Yesterday, Fox News contributor Dr. Keith Ablow, wrote a column about how President Trump is running circles around his opponents. Here’s what he had to say:

The media is all abuzz, again, about the fact that President Trump spent some time during his televised interview with ABC anchor David Muir pointing out the large size of the crowd in photos of his inauguration. Journalists, who still don’t seem able to understand that Trump is almost always several steps ahead of them, once again are heralding the president’s seeming preoccupation with the issue.

Is the president actually so thin-skinned that he needs the world to acknowledge that a huge number of people turned out to honor him as he was sworn in? Um, no.

So what’s really going on in his mind? Here’s my opinion: Everything Donald Trump does is strategically calculated to achieve a goal. His communication is designed not to simply convey his gut feelings, but to make people focus on one thing — call it a decoy — so he can do six other things while they’re distracted.

While Doctor Ablow doesn’t use the term OODA Loop, he’s just described how President Trump has gotten inside the Media’s version of it.

In this case, Trump has masterfully used the media’s pathetic naiveté and desire to battle him to make them focus on a throwaway battle — his seeming obsession with crowd size (which I can almost guarantee he could not care less about) — while he determinedly does what he does care about: signing orders that resurrect pipeline projects, retooling our broken immigration laws, laying the groundwork for a better health care system and preparing to build the wall.

There is a reason that the MSM is referred to as “The Mostly Stupid Media.” They long ago gave up any pretense of objectivity and dove headfirst into the horse manure that is the Liberal Progressive Movement.

For journalists who still don’t get it, here it is, again, in direct terms: When Trump says something like “If I were you I would take your camera and look at the size of the crowd,” he is actually saying, “Let’s debate crowd size, again, because otherwise you might ask me questions about my real and historically powerful plans and ideas, which I don’t trust you to report on fairly, anyhow.”

It helps President Trump that the MSM outright hates him. They are so blinded by their hate that they will latch onto anything he throws at them that might possibly be used in a negative manner and then run with it. Meanwhile, President Trump heads off in another direction and shreds even more of Obama’s “legacy.” Doctor Ablow then refers to a “Drug” that the media is addicted to. No, it isn’t Cocaine, (Although a fair number of them hoover that up by the truck load), he has something else in mind.

The drug, by the way, is called taking the easy path of the pithy, sensational, stupid story. And lots of journalists who get paid lots of money seem to be hopelessly hooked on it.

Another term for it is sheer laziness. Today’s “Journalists” are nothing like the news reporters of yesteryear. These are people who go to some Journalism School so that they can come out and “Change the world!” Since they have pre-installed blinders, the will never see people like President Trump coming, and will continue to wonder why they keep getting blindsided.

The rest of us, over the next 90 days or eight years, will watch Trump masterfully ignite one squabble after another that the members of the press fall all over themselves to engage in, while he remakes the world.

Man, I am just so happy this guy went to work for us. I’m still pinching myself. It’s like a miracle.

You are not alone Doctor Ablow. Many people, myself included, went to sleep November 8th thinking we were doomed as a nation since Felonia von Pantsuit looked to be the next president. When we all woke up the next morning and saw the news that she had been crushed, and that Donald Trump was going to be the next president, well, you could power every windmill in the country for a week at the number of sigh’s of relief we all had. Now we will watch President Trump run circles around the Progressives and the Beltway Uniparty.
