The Republicans drop the nukes

Good day all. Well, it has happened. The Democrats stupidity has caused the Senate Republicans to turn the keys and initiate a massive nuclear retaliatory strike. The filibuster has been nuked in the Senate.

The Democrats are probably a bit stunned that the GOP actually found the spine to do something like this. Honestly, so am I. Here are some of the details from Fox News:

Senate Republicans deployed the so-called “nuclear option” Thursday in their drive to confirm Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, dramatically changing the way the Senate does business in order to overcome a Democratic filibuster.

In a fast-paced chain of events that clears the way for Gorsuch to be confirmed by Friday evening, majority Republicans changed Senate precedent so that a high court nominee can advance to a final vote with a simple majority of 51 senators, as opposed to 60.

By Senate standards, this was ground-shaking.

Perhaps it was, but the Democrats can thank former Senate Majority Leader Dingy Harry Reid. He’s the one who launched the first strike to put Obama judges on the bench. These judges are the same ones who are, right now, ignoring the laws and the Constitution and trying to stop President Trump from protecting the country.

The Democrats, when Reid nuked the filibuster in the first place, honestly thought it won’t matter. They were unable to conceive any possibility of the Republicans regaining control of the Senate or the House. After all, history was on their side.

Well guess what Democrats. It wasn’t, and you have now reaped the seeds you sowed a few years ago. Now, we have a majority on the USSC again, and the rest of the mental midgets, (the Liberal wing of the court), aren’t exactly spring chickens. The odds are, President Trump may be replacing two more in the next few years. This is just one more nail in the progressives coffin.
