From the bull. Good day all. For those of you who may not know about it, in parts of Europe, Central and South America, bull fighting is very popular. However, it’s also rather hard on the bulls, since the end game is the bulls being turned into hamburger.
This has caused the usual suspects in the Animal Rights movement to object and take action to stop the spectacle. However, sometimes the bulls aren’t to happy with the “help” being provided and are rather pointed with their objections. Here are the details from Yahoo News:
An anti-bullfighting activist jumped into the arena in Carcassone, southern France, on Sunday and was promptly attacked by one of the animals he wants to protect, local police said.
Two protesters, a man and a woman, were in the audience before managing to make their way into the main ring during the “novillada”, a series of fights involving young bulls.
One bull charged at the man who, according to police a received “a long but not deep” injury from its horns.
He was taken to Carcassone hospital for examinations. His female companion was not inured and was arrested by police.
Apparently, these two idiots were rather busy annoying people in town.
Earlier two other protesters had briefly hung a banner saying “Stop Bullfighting” from the ramparts of the medieval French town.
Medieval town? Well, that bull did go very medieval on that knothead. Now, I don’t care one way or another about bull fighting. I do know that the matador doesn’t always win the fights. They are dealing with up to a half a ton of angry steak after all.
The big difference between the two nitwits and the matador? The matador actually knows what he or she is doing and understands the risks when dealing with “Meat on the hoof.” These two didn’t and one of them was basically curb stomped.
He’s lucky the bull didn’t get a clean shot at him. Well, hopefully, next time the bull will and take these two out completely. Then we can read all about their misadventure on the Darwin Awards.
