NYC wants to ban email

Good day all. The moonbats of the New York City Council just can’t get enough of themselves. Fresh off their plan to ban smoking while walking, now they want to completely kill any major businesses now operating in New York City. Their plan? Emulate the French and ban after hours work email.

New York city is a major business hub and honestly, conducts business 24 hours a day. Many people will work long after the close of business because of major, multi-billion dollar deals in the works. The requirements for success is being in contact with people and businesses around the world. In case you haven’t noticed, France is not considered an economic powerhouse. So, of course, the New York City moonbats on the City Council think doing what the French do is a great idea. Here are the details from Fox Business News:

Fed up with having to check job-related email after hours? Think there ought to be a law? Legislation in New York City would make it illegal for employees to access work-related email outside their regular work schedules.

Rafael Espinal, representing the 37th District in New York City, is set to introduce a bill at the City Council meeting on Thursday to give New Yorkers the right to disconnect.

This is a serious law, and I think that in the form that it is right now, I can’t imagine that it’s going to pass, but stranger things have happened,” Kyle Reyes, The Silent Partner Marketing CEO, said during an interview on FOX Business’ “Risk & Reward” on Monday.

I did a quick lookup on this fool, and as near as I can tell, he’s never held a real job a day in his life. he’s one of those who has his snout firmly planted in the taxpayer’s trough.

Work-life balance is unique to the individual and shouldn’t be legislated, according to Reyes.

To pass legislation saying, ‘You can’t force your employees to check emails after hours,’ there are no exemptions in the way it’s written right now that we can see that provided exemptions for police or for medical professionals,” he said.

Of course not! Thinking things through is not something Progressive Liberal Democrats have ever been known for. Of course, thinking is something they’ve never been known for either. It gets in the way of their “Feelz.” For instance…

Reyes said New York City has had a long-standing history of making mistakes when passing “knee-jerk” legislation and cited the city’s efforts to limit the number of rounds in magazines without considering the impact on the police department.

They had to go back to the drawing board when all of a sudden, the police department said, ‘Hey, we have more than seven rounds in a magazine,’ ” Reyes said.

Oh, it gets better. The standard trigger pull on a NYC police officer’s sidearm is something like 13 pounds. For everyone else, it’s usually between 4-6 pounds. For those of you are don’t know firearms. That means you have to generate 13 pounds of force in order to fire the gun. Try tying a string to a scale and pulling it to 13 pounds and see how it feels. Now you can see one reason the NYPD can’t hit the broadside of a barn when they get into a shootout and end up doing “Magazine dumps” instead. (Emptying their magazines, praying they hit something other then innocent bystanders)

Reyes, whose marketing consulting firm is based in Connecticut, said the New York City email legislation would disenfranchise workers who are trying to work harder and earn a promotion.

Anytime the government puts its hand in a business and takes away from the ability for an employee to outshine and outperform and show their own skills and abilities, we’re making a mistake,” he said.

Oh, it’s worse then that. It will cost businesses a lot of money in lost business. If you want to see New York City’s tax base collapse, see what happens when all the big corporations move out of the city and take their money with them. Emulating a nation best known as cheese eating surrender monkeys is not the way to Make America Great Again, but then, the Moonbats of New York City don’t consider themselves to be Americans any longer, but “Citizens of the world.” Pity we can’t saw Manhattan island loose and ship it to Europe.
