Good day all. I just saw this on Fox and had to share. Some big ugly slob at a restaurant came around the counter and slugged his waitress. However, the waitress had a friend working behind the counter who stepped up and protected her with a legally carried concealed pistol.
The attack occurred in Milwaukee last month, but the video, (Available on Fox News), has only recently come out. Here are the details from Fox News:
A waitress with a concealed carry permit defended her co-worker after an irate customer went behind the counter and punched her, newly released video reveals. The attack at George Webb restaurant in Milwaukee on June 28 could have been much worse, according to Alderman Bob Donovan, who made the footage public.
“I thank God the other waitress had a concealed carry weapon, has a permit… I shudder to think, had she not been there and had she not had this weapon, what this guy might have done,” Donovan told Fox 6.
Oh I think we can guess. At the very least, one or both of these ladies would probably ended up in the hospital.
The suspect, who is a regular at the restaurant and reportedly had been cursing at his server throughout the night for taking too long with his order, came behind the counter and punched her in the face.
Damn coward. Listen, I’ve had to deal with bad service and you know how I handle it? I leave. That’s all. I get up and I go.
Within seconds, the woman’s colleague pulled out a handgun from her waistband and pointed at him until he backed off.
And an excellent demonstration of how to handle a situation. She didn’t just pull and fire. She used her pistol in a defensive manner and got her coworker behind her. The scumbag didn’t move on her and backed down. The armed citizen didn’t need to pull the trigger and showed very good judgment.
I have absolutely no doubt that once everything was resolved and the threat was ended, she put that gun down and shook like a leaf from all the adrenaline in her system. Still, she did what she had to do and did it with bravery and panache.
Although the suspect has not been arrested, Fox 6 reports that Milwaukee police know who they are looking for and that the man is allegedly a drug dealer.
Feel free to beat him senseless. Hopefully, he will resist arrest. With that video, no one important is going to complain.
According to local media, the victim is back at work and she said the restaurant’s owner allows employees to carry a concealed weapon as long as they have a permit.
It’s nice to see the owner understands the constitution, and that police can’t be everywhere. He can’t provide all the security I have no doubt he wishes he could, so he encourages his staff to protect themselves, their customers and each other.
It’s a pity that the upper management of a gas station/convenience store around the corner from the Anger Central Primary Dwelling doesn’t understand that. About 8 years ago, a robber with a knife came in during the night and went after the clerk. The clerk brought a gun to the knife fight and the criminal ran for his life.
The company policy was, and is, just die. You may not defend yourself. The clerk’s supervisor and district manager went to bat for him, but the scumbags at the national level fired him. The good news is that he had a new job in two days. If he didn’t have that gun, although he didn’t fire it, he may have ended up dead. Congratulations to the lady with the gun and knowing how to handle it.
